Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your JENSEN JC7DM portable car stereo:

1. Mount the Screen: Attach the suction cup mount securely to your dashboard or windshield. Ensure the surface is clean and dry for optimal adhesion.
2. Plug into Power: Connect the included power adapter to your car’s 12V accessory outlet. The unit will power on. The USB charge port on the adapter can be used to power your phone.
3. Send Audio to Vehicle: Choose one of the following methods to send audio to your car's existing stereo system:
   • Connect a 3.5mm auxiliary cable from the JC7DM's AUX output to your car's AUX input.
   • Utilize the FM transmitter function to broadcast audio to an available FM radio station on your car's stereo.
4. Connect Your Phone: Establish a connection with your smartphone either wirelessly (Bluetooth/Wi-Fi for CarPlay/Android Auto) or via a USB cable.
5. Start Your Journey: Once connected, you can begin using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto for navigation, music, calls, and more.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

The unit powers on automatically when connected to your vehicle's 12V accessory outlet and the vehicle is started. To power off, simply turn off your vehicle's ignition or disconnect the power adapter.

Connecting Your Smartphone

The JC7DM supports both wireless and wired connections for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

• Wireless Connection: Enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your smartphone. On the JC7DM screen, navigate to the CarPlay or Android Auto option and follow the on-screen prompts to pair your device.
• Wired Connection: Connect your smartphone to the JC7DM's USB input using a compatible USB cable. The system should automatically detect your device and initiate CarPlay or Android Auto.

Audio Output Selection

You can choose how the audio from the JC7DM is played through your car's speakers:

• 3.5mm AUX Output: Connect an audio cable from the JC7DM's 3.5mm AUX output to your car's AUX input. Select 'AUX' as the audio source on your car stereo.
• FM Transmitter: On the JC7DM, select the FM transmitter option. Choose an unused FM frequency. Tune your car's FM radio to the same frequency to receive audio from the JC7DM.

Bluetooth Hands-Free Calling and Music Streaming

Once your phone is paired via Bluetooth, you can make and receive calls directly through the JC7DM's built-in microphone and speaker, or through your car's audio system if connected via AUX/FM. You can also stream music from your phone to the unit.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your JENSEN JC7DM, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning the Screen: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the touchscreen. For stubborn smudges, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a screen-safe cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Mounting Stability: Periodically check the suction cup mount for secure attachment. If it loses suction, clean both the suction cup and the mounting surface before reattaching.
• Cable Management: Ensure all cables are neatly routed and not pinched or tangled, which can cause damage over time.

Troubleshooting

• No Power: Ensure the 12V power adapter is securely plugged into both the unit and your car's accessory outlet. Check if the car's accessory outlet is receiving power.

• CarPlay/Android Auto Not Connecting:
