Safety Information

To ensure safe operation and prevent damage, please observe the following:

• Do not expose the speaker to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
• Despite IP67 rating, avoid submerging the speaker in water for extended durations or at depths beyond 1 meter. Ensure the port cover is securely closed before exposure to water.
• Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the speaker. This will void the warranty and may cause damage.
• Use only the provided USB-C cable or a certified equivalent for charging.
• Keep the speaker away from strong magnetic fields.
• Clean the speaker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

Setup

1. Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge the speaker. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the speaker's charging port and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The battery indicator will show charging status. A full charge takes approximately 3 to 4 hours.

2. Bluetooth Pairing

1. Power on the speaker by pressing and holding the power button (⑂) until you hear an audible cue.
2. The speaker will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a flashing LED light.
3. On your smartphone or other Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
4. Select "Grundig Xplore" from the list of devices.
5. Once paired, the LED light will become solid, and you will hear a confirmation sound.

The speaker has a Bluetooth range of up to 30 meters (100 feet) in open areas.

3. True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Pairing (Optional)

If you have two Grundig Xplore speakers, you can pair them together for a stereo sound experience:

1. Ensure both speakers are powered on and not connected to any other Bluetooth device.
2. On one speaker (this will be the primary speaker), press and hold the Bluetooth button for 3 seconds. It will enter TWS pairing mode.
3. The second speaker will automatically connect to the primary speaker. You will hear a confirmation sound when TWS pairing is successful.
4. Now, connect your smartphone to the primary speaker via Bluetooth as described in step 2.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

• Press and hold the Power button (⑂) for 2 seconds to turn the speaker on or off.

Music Playback

• Play/Pause: Press the Play/Pause button (▶) once.
• Volume Up: Press the Volume Up button (+).
• Volume Down: Press the Volume Down button (-).
• Next Track: Press and hold the Volume Up button (+).
• Previous Track: Press and hold the Volume Down button (-).

Hands-Free Calling

• Answer Call: Press the Play/Pause button (▶) once when a call comes in.
• End Call: Press the Play/Pause button (▶) once during a call.
• Reject Call: Press and hold the Play/Pause button (▶) for 2 seconds.

Power Bank Function

The speaker can be used as a power bank to charge your smartphone or other small devices. Connect your device to the speaker's USB-A output port (located under the protective flap) using an appropriate charging cable. The speaker provides 5V and 1A output.

Water and Dust Resistance (IP67)

The Grundig Xplore speaker is rated IP67, meaning it is fully protected against dust ingress and can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. Ensure the protective flap covering the charging and AUX ports is securely closed before exposing the speaker to water or dust.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the speaker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Storage: Store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use for extended periods.
• Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the speaker regularly, even if not in use.
