1. Important Safeguards

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:

• Read all instructions before operating the appliance.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the cord, plugs, or the main unit in water or other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Contact customer service for examination, repair, or adjustment.
• The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
• Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
• Do not use appliance for other than intended household use.
• The inner pot, glass lid, and steam rack are dishwasher-safe. The main unit is not.
• Ensure the appliance is placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface.

3. Setup

1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and promotional labels from the slow cooker.
2. Clean: Wash the inner pot, glass lid, and steaming rack in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. The main unit can be wiped with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
3. Placement: Place the slow cooker on a dry, level, heat-resistant surface, away from walls and other appliances to ensure proper ventilation.
4. Initial Use: Before first use, it is recommended to run a short cycle (e.g., "Slow Cook" for 30 minutes with water in the inner pot) to eliminate any manufacturing odors.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 General Operation

1. Prepare Ingredients: Place your ingredients into the non-stick inner pot.
2. Place Inner Pot: Insert the inner pot into the main unit and cover with the glass lid.
3. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. The display will illuminate.
4. Select Function: Press the "Power" button. Rotate the left knob to select your desired cooking function (e.g., Bake, Saute, Roast, Stew, Rice, Yogurt, Sous Vide, Smarts Steam, Slow Cook). The selected function's indicator light will illuminate.
5. Set Time and Temperature:
   • Use the left knob to adjust the cooking time (Hours/Minutes).
   • Use the right knob to adjust the cooking temperature (Fahrenheit).
6. Start Cooking: Once time and temperature are set, the cooker will automatically begin the cooking process after a few seconds.
7. Delay Start (Optional): To use the delay start function, set your desired cooking function, time, and temperature. Then, press the "Delay" button and use the left knob to set the delay time (1 to 16 hours). The cooker will start automatically after the delay period.
8. Keep Warm (Automatic): After most cooking cycles are complete, the slow cooker will automatically switch to the "Keep Warm" function for up to 6 hours.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your slow cooker.

1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Inner Pot and Lid: The removable non-stick inner pot, glass lid, and steaming rack are dishwasher-safe. For hand washing, use warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
3. Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Never immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
4. Storage: Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storing. Store the slow cooker in a dry place.
