1. Introduction

2. Important Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, always follow these basic safety precautions:

  • Read all instructions before using the appliance.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to 'off', then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
  • Oversized foods or metal utensils must not be inserted in a toaster oven as they may create a fire or risk of electric shock.
  • A fire may occur if the oven is covered or touching flammable material, including curtains, drapes, walls, and the like, when in operation.
  • Do not store any materials, other than manufacturer's recommended accessories, in this oven when not in use.
  • Do not place any of the following materials in the oven: paper, cardboard, plastic, or similar materials.
  • Do not cover crumb tray or any part of the oven with metal foil. This will cause overheating of the oven.
  • Extreme caution must be exercised when removing tray or disposing of hot grease.

4. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the oven and all accessories from the packaging. Remove any protective film or tape.
  2. Placement: Place the oven on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate clearance (at least 4 inches) on all sides and above the oven for proper ventilation. Do not place it directly under cabinets.
  3. Cleaning: Before first use, wipe down the interior and exterior of the oven with a damp cloth. Wash all accessories (baking pan, pizza pan, air fry basket, broil rack, crumb tray) with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  4. First Use Burn-Off: To eliminate any manufacturing odors, operate the oven empty for approximately 20 minutes at 400°F (200°C) using the Bake function. Ensure the area is well-ventilated during this process. A slight odor or smoke is normal during initial use.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your GreenPan oven. The PFAS-free nonstick coating on accessories and interior walls makes cleaning effortless.

  • Before Cleaning: Always unplug the oven and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Crumb Tray: The crumb tray is removable for easy disposal of crumbs. Wash with warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly.
  • Accessories: The baking pan, pizza pan, air fry basket, and broil rack are coated with PFAS-free nonstick and are dishwasher safe. For best results and to preserve the nonstick coating, hand washing with warm, soapy water is recommended.
  • Interior: Wipe the interior walls with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could damage the nonstick surface.
  • Exterior: Clean the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • Door: Clean the glass door with a soft cloth and glass cleaner.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your oven, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Oven does not turn on:
    • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
    • Check your circuit breaker or fuse box.
  • Food not cooking evenly:
    • Ensure food is spread in a single layer in the air fry basket or baking pan.
    • Preheat the oven fully before adding food.
    • Adjust rack position for optimal heat distribution.
    • For air frying, shake or flip food halfway through cooking.
  • Smoke or unusual odor during cooking:
    • A slight odor is normal during initial use (see First Use Burn-Off).
    • Excessive smoke may indicate food residue or grease buildup. Clean the oven and accessories thoroughly.
    • Ensure no packaging materials or foreign objects are inside the oven.
  • Display not working or unresponsive controls:
    • Unplug the oven from the power outlet, wait for 1 minute, then plug it back in to reset the system.
