1. Introduction

The Z CAM E2-F8 is a professional-grade full-frame 8K cinema camera designed for high-definition video production. It features a full-frame sensor, 10-bit 4:2:2 color support, and 14 stops of dynamic range. This camera is capable of recording up to 8K resolution at 30 frames per second, with data rates up to 300 Mb/s to CFast 2.0 media. It supports various recording formats including ZRAW, MOV, and MP4, utilizing H.265 for 10-bit and H.264 for 8-bit recording. The E2-F8 offers versatile connectivity and control options for professional videographers.

4.1 Attaching the Lens

  1. Remove the PL mount cap from the camera body.
  2. Align the red dot on the lens with the red dot on the camera's PL mount.
  3. Insert the lens into the mount and rotate it clockwise until it clicks into place, securing the lens.

4.2 Inserting CFast 2.0 Media

  1. Locate the CFast 2.0 slot on the side of the camera.
  2. Insert the CFast 2.0 card with the label facing the correct direction until it clicks into place.
  3. To eject, press the card gently inward until it springs out.

4.3 Powering On the Camera

  1. Connect the power adapter to the camera's DC input port.
  2. Connect the power adapter to a suitable power outlet.
  3. Press and hold the power button (usually red) until the camera powers on and the display illuminates.
