3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking and Unrolling

Remove the paddle board and accessories from the backpack travel bag. Unroll the board on a flat, clean surface, free from sharp objects.

3.2 Inflation

  1. Locate the inflation valve on the board. Ensure the valve pin is in the 'up' position (closed) to prevent air from escaping after inflation.
  2. Connect the Aero Hand Pump hose to the 'IN' port on the pump and securely attach the other end to the board's valve.
  3. Begin pumping. The board will start to take shape. Continue pumping until the board reaches the recommended pressure of 10-15 PSI. The pressure gauge on the pump may not register until the board begins to firm up.
  4. Once inflated, quickly disconnect the pump and replace the valve cap.

3.3 Attaching the Center Fin

Slide the removable 10" Aero Center Fin into the fin box located on the underside of the board. Secure it with the attached clip or pin. Ensure it is firmly in place before entering the water.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

After each use, rinse the board thoroughly with fresh water to remove salt, sand, and debris. Use mild soap and water for stubborn dirt. Ensure the board is completely dry before deflating and storing.

5.2 Deflation and Packing

To deflate, press the valve pin down and twist to lock it in the 'down' (open) position. Allow air to escape. You can gently roll the board from the nose towards the tail to expel remaining air. Once deflated, fold or roll the board neatly and place it back into the backpack travel bag along with all accessories.

5.3 Storage

Store the deflated board and accessories in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Indoor storage is recommended to prolong the lifespan of the product.

5.4 Repairs

Use the included repair kit for minor punctures or tears. Follow the instructions provided with the repair kit for proper application. For significant damage, contact BOTE customer support.

6. Troubleshooting

Issue: Board loses air or does not inflate properly.

  • Solution: Ensure the hand pump hose is connected to the 'IN' port for inflation. The PSI gauge may not register immediately; continue pumping until the board is firm. Check all valve seals and seams for leaks. Use the provided repair kit for small punctures.

Issue: Board drifts sideways or is difficult to steer in windy conditions.

  • Solution: Ensure the removable 10" Aero Center Fin is securely attached before use. This fin is crucial for tracking and stability, especially in currents or wind.
