Product Overview

Setup Guide

1. Charging Your Earbuds

Before first use, fully charge the Nothing Ear earbuds and their charging case. Place the earbuds into the charging case. Connect the charging cable to the case and a power source. The case supports both wired and wireless charging. A 10-minute charge provides significant listening time.

2. Pairing with Your Device

  1. Ensure the earbuds are in the charging case and the case lid is open.
  2. Activate Bluetooth on your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).
  3. Select "Nothing Ear" from the list of available Bluetooth devices.
  4. Once connected, the earbuds are ready for use. Nothing Ear supports Bluetooth 5.3 for stable connectivity.

3. Nothing X App Installation

For full customization and advanced features, download the Nothing X app from your device's app store. The app allows you to:

  • Create a personal sound profile based on your hearing.
  • Access an advanced 8-band equalizer to fine-tune audio.
  • Adjust Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) levels.
  • Customize earbud controls.

Operating Your Earbuds

Touch Controls

Nothing Ear earbuds feature intuitive touch controls located on the stem of each earbud. Pressing the bottom part of the earbud stem activates these controls. Functions can be customized via the Nothing X app.

  • Single Press: Play/Pause music, Answer/End call.
  • Double Press: Skip forward, Reject call.
  • Triple Press: Skip backward.
  • Press and Hold: Toggle Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) / Transparency Mode.

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)

Nothing Ear offers powerful Active Noise Cancellation up to 45 dB, significantly reducing ambient noise. You can switch between different ANC levels or enable Adaptive ANC through the Nothing X app. Adaptive ANC automatically adjusts the noise cancellation level based on your environment.

Hi-Res Audio and Sound Personalization

Experience high-resolution audio with support for LDAC and LHDC codecs, delivering up to 24-bit/192 kHz quality. Use the Nothing X app to create a personal sound profile that adapts to your unique hearing, ensuring an optimized listening experience. The advanced equalizer allows for precise audio adjustments across various frequencies.

Battery Life

Maintenance and Care

Proper care ensures the longevity and performance of your Nothing Ear earbuds.

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the earbuds, especially the eartips and charging contacts, with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
  • Eartips: Remove eartips periodically and clean them with water and mild soap if necessary. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching.
  • Storage: Always store the earbuds in their charging case when not in use to protect them and keep them charged.
  • Water Resistance: The earbuds are water-resistant. However, they are not waterproof. Avoid submerging them in water or exposing them to excessive moisture. Dry them thoroughly if they get wet.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Nothing Ear earbuds, try the following solutions:
