3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation
The REVASRI R50 Laser Distance Meter requires two AAA batteries (included). To install the batteries:
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
- Slide the cover open.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2 Initial Power On
After installing the batteries, press the MEAS button (star icon) to power on the device. The display will light up, indicating it is ready for use.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Basic Distance Measurement
To perform a single distance measurement:
- Ensure the device is powered on.
- Point the laser at the target surface.
- Press the MEAS button. The laser will activate, and the measurement will appear on the display almost instantly.

4.2 Unit Switching
To change the measurement unit (Meters, feet, inches, feet+inches), long press the Front/Back Benchmark Switch button (bottom left button with two arrows). The unit will cycle through the available options.

4.3 Benchmark Setting
The device can measure from its front or rear edge. The default setting is usually from the rear. To switch the benchmark, short press the Front/Back Benchmark Switch button. An icon on the display will indicate the current benchmark (top or bottom of the device).
5. Measurement Modes
The REVASRI R50 offers several measurement modes for different applications. Press the Function Menu button (top left button with square icon) to cycle through the modes.
- Single Measurement: Measures the direct distance between two points.
- Area Measurement: Calculates the area of a surface by taking two measurements (length and width).
- Volume Measurement: Calculates the volume of a space by taking three measurements (length, width, and height).
- Continuous Measurement (Min/Max): Continuously measures distance, displaying the minimum and maximum values recorded during the sweep. Useful for finding shortest/longest distances or diagonals.
- Pythagorean Measurement (Type I, II, III): Calculates indirect distances using the Pythagorean theorem.
- Type I: Measures the hypotenuse from two legs.
- Type II: Measures a leg from the hypotenuse and another leg.
- Type III: Measures a leg from two hypotenuses and one leg.
- Addition and Subtraction: Allows adding or subtracting measurements.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the laser lens is clean for accurate measurements.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Always use new AAA alkaline batteries.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
- Protection: The device has an IP54 rating, meaning it is protected against dust and splashing water. However, it is not waterproof and should not be submerged.
7. Troubleshooting
- Device not powering on:
- Check if batteries are installed correctly with proper polarity.
- Replace batteries with new ones.
- Inaccurate readings:
- Ensure the laser lens is clean and free from obstructions.
- Verify the correct benchmark setting (front or rear of the device).
- Ensure the target surface is flat and reflective enough for the laser.
- Avoid measuring through transparent materials like glass.
- The device is intended for indoor use; outdoor conditions (bright sunlight) can affect accuracy.
- Display issues:
- Check battery level.
- If the display is frozen or unresponsive, try removing and reinserting the batteries to reset the device.
