3. Setup and Installation
The SanJie Door Sensor Chime system is pre-paired for your convenience. Follow these simple steps for installation:
- Plug in the Receiver: Insert the receiver into a standard electrical outlet in a central location or where you wish to hear the chime.
- Prepare the Sensors: The sensors come with a small plastic tab to prevent battery drain during shipping. Gently pull out this tab to activate the battery.
- Mount the Sensors: Choose a door or window where you want to detect opening. Attach the larger sensor unit to the door/window frame and the smaller magnetic strip to the moving part of the door/window. Ensure the two parts are aligned and within 0.4 inches (1 cm) of each other when the door/window is closed. You can use the provided double-sided adhesive tape for easy installation or the screws and anchors for a more permanent fixture.
- Test the System: Open and close the door/window where the sensors are installed. The receiver should chime, indicating successful setup.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your SanJie Door Sensor Chime, consider the following:
- No Chime Sound: Check if the receiver is properly plugged into a working outlet. Ensure the volume is not set to mute. Verify that the sensor battery is active and not depleted.
- Sensor Not Triggering: Confirm that the magnetic sensor parts are aligned correctly and are within 0.4 inches when the door/window is closed. Replace the sensor battery if necessary.
- Reduced Range: Large metal objects, thick walls, or other wireless devices can interfere with the signal. Try relocating the receiver or sensors to minimize interference. The effective indoor range is typically less than 100 feet (30 meters).
- Re-pairing: If a sensor loses connection, follow the pairing instructions in Section 4 to re-establish the connection.
