10. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your CORSAHD HDMI 2.1 Switch, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • No Video/Audio Output:
    • Ensure all HDMI cables are securely connected and are certified HDMI 2.1.
    • Verify the power adapter is correctly connected and the switch is powered on.
    • Check if the correct HDMI input is selected on the switch and the correct input is selected on your display.
    • Confirm the audio source and audio device DIP switches are set correctly (refer to Section 7).
    • Try cycling through the EDID settings (refer to Section 8) to find a compatible mode.
    • Bypass the switch by connecting the source directly to the display to rule out cable or source issues.
  • Poor Picture Quality / Flickering:
    • Ensure you are using high-quality, certified HDMI 2.1 cables, especially for high resolutions (8K/4K@120Hz). Cable length should ideally be less than 10ft (3m).
    • Check your display and source device settings to ensure they are configured for the desired resolution and refresh rate.
    • Try a different HDMI input port on the switch.
  • Audio Sync Issues / No Surround Sound:
    • Verify your audio device (soundbar, AV receiver) supports the desired audio format (e.g., Dolby Atmos, 7.1Ch).
    • Adjust the EDID settings on the switch to match your audio system's capabilities (e.g., ATMOS/4K7.1).
    • Ensure the audio source and audio device DIP switches are correctly configured.
    • Check your source device's audio output settings.
  • Remote Control Not Working:
    • Ensure the IR extension cable is securely plugged into the "IR Ext" port and the IR receiver is positioned to have a clear line of sight to the remote.
    • Replace the battery in the remote control (typically a CR2025 coin cell).
  • Device Overheating:
    • Ensure the switch is placed in a well-ventilated area and not covered. Adequate airflow is important for heat dissipation.
