4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Battery

1. Plug the 2.4A fast charger into a standard power outlet.
2. Insert the 20V Max. battery pack firmly into the charger until you hear a "CLICK".
3. During normal charging, the charger's indicator light will flash red and solid green.
4. The battery is fully charged when the indicator light shows a solid green.

4.2 Loading Fasteners (Nails or Staples)

Always ensure the battery is removed from the tool before loading fasteners.

1. Press the lever while pulling the slider backwards to open the magazine.
2. For staples, place the staple crown close to the top of the magazine.
3. For nails, place the nail's point close to the bottom of the magazine.
4. Push the slider forward against the fasteners until it snap-locks into place.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 General Operation

1. Ensure the battery is fully charged and securely inserted into the tool.
2. Load the appropriate nails or staples as described in Section 4.2.
3. Place the nose of the tool firmly against the workpiece. The contact safety mechanism must be fully depressed. The built-in LED light will illuminate when the tool is ready to fire.
4. Pull the trigger to drive the fastener.
5. Release the trigger and lift the tool from the workpiece.

5.2 Depth Adjustment

The tool features a depth adjustment mechanism, typically a dial or lever near the nose, to control how deep the fastener is driven into the material. Adjust as needed for different materials and desired finish.

5.3 Recommended Fastener Types and Sizes

• 18 Gauge Brad Nails: From 5/8" (15mm) to 1-1/4" (32mm) in length.
• 1/4" Narrow Crown Staples: From 5/8" (15mm) to 1" (25mm) in length.

• Magazine: Periodically clean the fastener magazine to ensure smooth feeding.
• Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Do not store fully discharged. Charge before long periods of storage.
• Inspection: Regularly inspect the nosepiece, driver blade, and contact safety for wear or damage. Replace worn parts as necessary.
