6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Jump Starting a Vehicle

Follow these steps to safely jump-start your vehicle:

  2. Turn off your vehicle's ignition and all accessories.
  3. Connect the red (+) clamp to the positive (+) terminal of your vehicle's battery.
  4. Connect the black (-) clamp to a clean, unpainted metal part of your vehicle's engine block or chassis, away from the battery. Do NOT connect directly to the negative (-) battery terminal.
  5. Turn on the jump starter unit.
  6. Attempt to start your vehicle. If it doesn't start immediately, wait 30 seconds before trying again. Do not crank for more than 5 seconds per attempt.
  7. Once the vehicle starts, immediately disconnect the black (-) clamp from the vehicle chassis, then disconnect the red (+) clamp from the battery.
  8. Turn off the jump starter unit.
