2. General Care
- Keep the enclosure clean and free from dust.
- Avoid dropping or subjecting the device to strong impacts.
- Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.
Troubleshooting
- Slow Transfer Speeds: Ensure your host device supports USB4 or Thunderbolt 3/4 for maximum speeds. Older Thunderbolt ports (11th generation and earlier) may not be fully compatible or achieve advertised speeds. Verify your CPU model if using Thunderbolt.
- Device Not Recognized: Check that the SSD is correctly seated in the enclosure and the cable is securely connected to both the enclosure and the host device. Try a different USB port or cable.
- Overheating: While the enclosure has a cooling fan, ensure it is not obstructed. If overheating persists, verify the thermal pad is correctly installed.
- Fan Noise: Some users may notice fan operation during heavy use. This is normal and indicates the cooling system is active.
- SSD Compatibility Issues: Confirm your SSD is an M-Key NVMe type and not a SATA M.2 SSD. Certain NVMe SSDs like Crucial-P3 Plus, WD Black SN750, or Samsung 970 EVO Plus are not recommended for optimal performance with this enclosure.
