Operating Instructions

Adjusting Spray Arc and Distance:

The Pro-S spray heads with adjustable nozzles allow for precise control over the spray pattern and distance. This ensures water is delivered only where needed, minimizing waste.

  1. Adjusting Arc (Left Start): While the sprinkler is operating, grasp the lower part of the riser and twist it to set the left start position of the spray arc. It will click into place.
  2. Adjusting Arc (Right Stop): Grasp the very top of the spray head (the nozzle) and twist it to adjust the right stop position of the spray arc.
  3. Adjusting Distance (Radius): To reduce the spray distance, use a flat-head screwdriver to turn the silver screw located in the very middle of the nozzle counter-clockwise. Turning it clockwise will increase the distance. Hold the riser steady with one hand while adjusting with the screwdriver.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficiency of your K-Rain Pro-S spray heads.

  • Cleaning: Periodically inspect nozzles for clogs from debris. Clean as needed to maintain optimal spray patterns.
  • Wiper Seal Inspection: The co-molded wiper seal is designed for durability, but inspect it annually for any signs of wear or damage that could affect retraction or lead to leaks.
  • Winterization: In colder climates, ensure proper winterization procedures are followed to prevent freeze damage. Consult local irrigation guidelines for specific steps.

Optional Features for Enhanced Performance:

  • Stop Flow: An optional feature that automatically stops water flow in case of nozzle damage or removal, preventing water waste.
  • In-Stem Pressure Regulation: Available for 4", 6", or 12" models (in both 30 and 40 PSI), this feature prevents misting and saves water by maintaining consistent pressure.
  • Nozzle Guard: Adds a protective lip around the nozzle to prevent damage from foot traffic and lawn equipment.
  • Pre-installed Check Valve: Prevents low head drainage, saving water and reducing erosion. Can also be purchased separately and installed in the field. Check valves hold up to ten feet of head pressure.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
No water or low flow:Clogged nozzle or filter, insufficient water pressure.Clean the nozzle and filter. Check system pressure.
