Installation Guide
This recessed light features a canless design, simplifying the installation process. It is suitable for insulated ceilings and dry walls. Always ensure power is turned off at the circuit breaker before beginning installation.
Required Tools:
- Hole Saw (6-1/4 inch)
- Wire Strippers
- Screwdriver
- Measuring Tape
Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Ceiling: Using the provided 1:1 hole template, cut a 6-1/4 inch diameter hole in the desired ceiling location.
- Wiring Connections: Open the remote junction box. Feed the supply wires (Live, Neutral, Ground) into the knockout hole. Use the three fast connectors inside the junction box to securely connect the corresponding wires. Ensure all connections are tight and correct.
- Insert Junction Box: Carefully insert the wired junction box into the ceiling hole.
- Mount the Fixture: Hold the spring clips on the recessed light fixture against the fixture body. Gently guide the fixture into the ceiling hole until the clips snap into place, securing the light flush with the ceiling surface.

1. Initial Setup and App Connection:
- Prepare 2.4GHz Wi-Fi: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is operating on the 2.4GHz band for optimal compatibility.
- Download CloudyBay App: Search for and download the "CloudyBay" app from your smartphone's app store. Register and log in.
- Connect to Wi-Fi: Connect your phone to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Power Cycle Lights: Turn the lights on/off three times until they begin to breathe (slowly fade in and out), indicating they are in pairing mode.
- Add Device in App: Open the CloudyBay app, click the '+' icon in the top right corner to add a new device. Follow the on-screen prompts to enter your Wi-Fi information and add the lights.
