2. Setup and Installation

2.1 Mounting the Main Unit

The main unit can be securely mounted to your motorcycle's handlebar using the provided bracket. The bracket offers 360° rotation for optimal viewing angles.

  1. Align the screw holes of the elliptical metal plate on the bracket with the screw holes on the back of the main unit. Tighten the screws.
  2. Secure the bracket onto the motorcycle handlebar and tighten the screws.
  3. Adjust the angle of the main unit screen to a suitable position and tighten the screws.

2.2 Wired Remote Installation

The wired remote provides convenient control over certain functions without needing to touch the main screen.

  1. Attach the adhesive to the A-plate, then mount it near the handlebar.
  2. Mount the remote: Attach the remote to the L-plate's long end, wire towards the corner, and secure with a screw.
  3. Join plates: Fix the L-plate's short end to the A-plate, adjust for comfort, and tighten.
  4. Connect cable: Plug the orange cable into the main unit's interface and tighten the nut.

2.3 Wiring Diagram

Proper wiring is crucial for the system's functionality. Refer to the diagram below for connections.

  • Red Wire: Connects to ACC power, which is only powered when the ignition switch is on.
  • Yellow Wire: Connects to the constant power supply from the power box.
  • Black Wire: Connects to the ground line.
  • Connect front and rear cameras to their respective interfaces.
  • Connect the wired remote to its interface.
  • Connect AUX audio if desired.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto

Connect your smartphone wirelessly to access Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. This allows for seamless navigation, music playback, and communication directly from the CL876 screen.

3.2 Voice Control (Siri/Google Assistant)

Utilize voice commands for navigation, making calls, sending messages, and controlling music, ensuring your hands remain on the handlebars for safety.

3.3 Dual Dash Cameras with Loop Recording

The CL876 features dual 1080P cameras (front and rear) with a 140° wide viewing angle. Loop recording ensures continuous coverage by overwriting the oldest files when the memory card is full. A 64GB TF card is included, supporting up to 256GB.

3.5 Bluetooth & Wi-Fi Connectivity

The CL876 features Broadcom dual Bluetooth chips for seamless connectivity to helmet communication systems, earphones, and group ride chats, ensuring low power usage and stable connections.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Waterproof Durability

The CL876 main unit is IP65 waterproof, and the camera lenses are upgraded to IP67, providing robust protection against rain and challenging weather conditions.

4.2 Screen Care

To ensure optimal visibility and longevity of the screen, remove the protective film from the motorcycle monitor before use. Clean the screen with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Spedal CL876, consider the following:

  • Connectivity Issues: Ensure your smartphone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled and correctly paired with the CL876. Try power cycling both devices.
  • Power Issues: Verify all power connections are secure according to the wiring diagram. Ensure the motorcycle's battery is adequately charged.
  • TF Card: The TF card is pre-installed in the slot at the bottom of the CL876 unit. Ensure it is properly seated for recording functionality.
  • Firmware Updates: Spedal may release firmware updates to improve functionality. These typically require manual installation. Check the official Spedal website for the latest updates and instructions.
  • Unresponsive Button: The button at the top of the screen is reserved for future updates and will be activated in upcoming software releases.
