Setup

1. Install Landing Gears

The landing gears are designed for easy snap-on installation. Attach the front wheel to the designated slot under the fuselage and the rear wheel assembly to the tail section. Ensure they are securely in place for stable taxiing and landing.

2. Install Plane Battery

Open the battery compartment on the underside of the plane. Connect the 3.7V 300mAh Lithium Metal battery to the plane's connector. Carefully place the battery inside the compartment and close the cover.

3. Install Controller Batteries

Open the battery cover on the back of the remote control. Insert 3 x AAA batteries (not included) into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity. Close the battery cover securely.

4. Bind the Plane with Controller

Turn on the RC plane first. Then, turn on the remote control. Move the throttle stick (left stick) all the way down, then all the way up, and finally all the way down again. The indicator light on the plane will turn solid, indicating a successful binding. The plane is now ready to fly.

Operating Instructions

Remote Control Layout

The remote control features intuitive controls for easy operation:

  • Left Stick (Throttle): Controls the speed and altitude (up/down).
  • Right Stick (Elevator/Rudder): Controls left/right turns and nose up/down movement.
  • Power Switch: Turns the remote control on/off.
  • High/Low Speed Switch: Toggles between high and low-speed modes for different flying experiences.
  • Trimmers: Fine-tune the plane's flight path if it drifts (Elevator trimmer, Left trimmer, Right trimmer).

Take-off Modes

Your BF-109 RC Plane supports two take-off modes:

1. Hand Launch

Hold the plane firmly with one hand, ensuring the propeller is clear. Gently push the throttle forward to full power, then smoothly throw the plane forward into the wind. The 6-axis gyro stabilizer will assist in maintaining a stable ascent.

2. Taxiing Take-off

Place the plane on a flat, open surface. Slowly increase the throttle. The plane will taxi forward on its wheels. Once it gains sufficient speed, gently pull back on the elevator stick to lift off.

Flight Stabilization (6-axis Gyro)

The built-in 6-axis gyro stabilization system automatically corrects the plane's attitude, making it exceptionally easy to fly for beginners. This system helps maintain stability even in light winds.

Advanced Maneuvers

Once comfortable with basic flight, you can attempt more advanced maneuvers. The elevator control allows for dives and climbs, enabling loops and more dynamic turns. Practice in an open area with plenty of space.

Maintenance

Battery Care

To prolong battery life, always fully charge the batteries before use and avoid over-discharging them. Disconnect the battery from the plane when not in use. Store batteries in a cool, dry place.

Propeller Replacement

If a propeller is damaged, replace it with a spare. Gently remove the old propeller and install the new one, ensuring it is securely attached.

EPP Foam Durability

The plane is constructed from durable EPP foam, designed to withstand minor bumps and crashes. In case of damage, small repairs can often be made using foam-safe adhesive.

Troubleshooting

Plane Not Responding to Remote

Ensure both the plane and remote control are turned on and properly bound. Check battery levels in both devices. Re-attempt the binding process if necessary.

Plane Drifts During Flight

Use the trim buttons on the remote control to adjust the plane's flight path. Adjust the elevator trimmer if the plane climbs or dives unintentionally, and the left/right trimmers if it veers sideways.

Short Flight Time

Ensure batteries are fully charged. Flight time can be affected by aggressive flying or strong winds. The plane comes with two batteries for extended play.

Propeller Not Spinning

Check if the propeller is obstructed or damaged. Ensure the battery is connected and charged. Verify the binding process is complete.
