Setup

1. Inserting the SIM Card

  1. Ensure the device is powered off.
  2. Locate the Nano SIM Card slot on the top of the device.
  3. Insert your Nano SIM card into the slot with the gold contacts facing down and the notched corner aligned as shown in the diagram. Push until it clicks into place.

2. Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the MT110. Connect the provided Micro USB cable to the device's charging port and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.

  • The battery LED indicator will show charging status.
  • A full charge typically takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.

3. Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds until the LED indicators light up.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds until the LED indicators turn off.

Operating the Device

1. Connecting to Wi-Fi

Once the MT110 is powered on and has established a 4G connection (indicated by the signal LED), you can connect your devices:

  1. On your Wi-Fi enabled device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), open the Wi-Fi settings.
  2. Search for available Wi-Fi networks. The default network name (SSID) and password are usually printed on a label inside the battery compartment or on the device itself.
  3. Select the MT110's SSID and enter the password to connect.

2. Managing the Device via MERCUSYS App

For advanced management and monitoring, download the MERCUSYS app from your device's app store. The app allows you to:

  • View signal strength and battery life.
  • Change Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password.
  • Monitor connected devices.
  • Set data limits.
  • Manage SMS messages (if supported by your SIM card).

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the MERCUSYS app or official website periodically for firmware updates. Keeping your device's firmware updated ensures optimal performance and security.

Troubleshooting

  • Ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted and active.
  • Check if your SIM card has an active data plan.
  • Verify the signal strength LED. If it's red or off, there might be no network coverage.
  • Restart the MT110 router.
  • Check APN settings via the MERCUSYS app or web interface.
Cannot connect to Wi-Fi.
  • Ensure the MT110 is powered on and the Wi-Fi LED is active.
  • Double-check the Wi-Fi password.
  • Move closer to the device to ensure you are within range.
  • Restart both the MT110 and your connecting device.
Slow internet speed.
  • Check your 4G signal strength. Weak signal can lead to slow speeds.
  • Reduce the number of connected devices.
  • Ensure no background applications are consuming excessive data.
  • Try moving the device to a location with better network coverage.
Battery drains quickly.
  • High usage or poor signal strength can increase battery consumption.
  • Ensure the device is not in an area with very weak signal, as it will consume more power searching for a network.
  • Limit the number of connected devices.
  • Consider reducing the Wi-Fi range if possible via settings.
