3. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Girmi IM5000 Planetary Mixer for first use:

3.1 Unpacking and Initial Cleaning

  1. Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Wash the stainless steel bowl, splash guard, dough hook, flat beater, and whisk in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  3. Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor unit in water.

3.2 Assembling the Mixer

  1. Place the mixer on a clean, flat, and stable surface. Ensure the suction cup feet are securely attached to the countertop.
  2. Press the tilt-head release button (usually located on the side or back of the motor unit) and lift the mixing head until it locks into place.
  3. Place the 8-liter stainless steel bowl onto the base, twisting it clockwise until it locks securely.
  4. Select the desired attachment (dough hook, flat beater, or whisk). Insert the attachment into the attachment port and twist it counter-clockwise until it clicks into place.
  5. Lower the mixing head by pressing the tilt-head release button again and gently pushing the head down until it locks. Ensure the safety device is engaged.
  6. Attach the splash guard by aligning it with the mixing head and securing it over the bowl.

4. Operation

Operating your Girmi IM5000 Planetary Mixer is straightforward:

4.1 Adding Ingredients

With the mixing head lowered and the splash guard in place, add your ingredients to the stainless steel bowl. The splash guard often has an opening for adding ingredients during mixing.

4.2 Powering On and Speed Control

  1. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet (230V).
  2. Turn the speed control dial to the desired speed setting (1-6). Start with a lower speed and gradually increase as needed to prevent splashing.
  3. For short bursts of maximum power, turn the dial to the 'P' (Pulse) setting and hold it. Release to stop.

4.3 Dough Capacities

The Girmi IM5000 is capable of processing:

  • Up to 3 kg of soft dough (e.g., for cakes or sweets).

4.4 Stopping the Mixer
