Setup

  3. Insert Battery: Ensure your 20V battery (not included) is fully charged. Slide the battery into the battery slot at the base of the coffee maker until it clicks into place.
  4. Fill Water Tank: Remove the water tank and fill it with clean, cold water up to the MAX fill line (approximately 14.5 oz / 430 ml). Do not overfill. Reattach the water tank securely to the coffee maker.

The Mellif MFCM001 offers two brewing methods: using ground coffee or K-Cup capsules.

Step-by-step guide for brewing coffee with the Mellif MFCM001

Brewing with Ground Coffee

  1. Prepare Filter: Open the brewing chamber by lifting the drawer lock. Insert the reusable filter into the K-Pod holder.
  2. Add Ground Coffee: Add your desired amount of ground coffee (typically 1-2 tablespoons) into the reusable filter. Do not overfill.
  3. Close Chamber: Close the brewing chamber and push down the drawer lock until it clicks, ensuring it is securely latched.
  4. Place Mug: Place your mug (or the included travel mug) on the drip tray. Ensure it is centered under the coffee dispenser.
  5. Start Brewing: Press the Power Button to turn on the coffee maker. Then, press the Coffee Button to begin brewing. The indicator light will illuminate.
  6. Wait: The coffee maker will brew your coffee in approximately 4 minutes.
  7. Enjoy: Once brewing is complete, carefully remove your mug and enjoy your fresh coffee.

  1. Insert K-Cup: Open the brewing chamber by lifting the drawer lock. Place a K-Cup capsule into the K-Pod holder.
  2. Close Chamber: Close the brewing chamber and push down the drawer lock until it clicks, ensuring it is securely latched.
  3. Place Mug: Place your mug (or the included travel mug) on the drip tray. Ensure it is centered under the coffee dispenser.
  4. Start Brewing: Press the Power Button to turn on the coffee maker. Then, press the Coffee Button to begin brewing. The indicator light will illuminate.

  1. Disconnect Power: Always remove the battery from the coffee maker before cleaning.
  2. Empty and Clean Water Tank: Remove the water tank, empty any remaining water, and wash it with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Clean Drip Tray: Remove the drip tray and wash it with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Clean K-Pod Holder/Reusable Filter: After each use, remove and rinse the K-Pod holder or reusable filter. For ground coffee, discard used grounds.
  5. Clean Brewing Needle: The brewing chamber contains a sharp needle that punctures K-Cups. Use caution when cleaning this area. A small brush or paperclip can be used to clear any clogs.
  6. Wipe Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the main unit in water.
  7. Descaling: Depending on water hardness, descaling may be required periodically. Refer to general coffee maker descaling instructions using a descaling solution or a vinegar-water mixture.

Note: The coffee maker components are not dishwasher safe.
