Helpful Tips:

  • For best results, preheat the slow cooker for 20-30 minutes on the desired setting before adding ingredients.
  • Avoid lifting the lid frequently during cooking, as this releases heat and extends cooking time.
  • Root vegetables cook slower than meat. Cut them into smaller pieces or place them at the bottom of the pot.
  • Liquids do not evaporate in a slow cooker as they do in conventional cooking. Reduce liquid amounts in recipes by about half.

Cleaning and Maintenance

  1. Unplug: Always unplug the slow cooker and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Ceramic Pot and Lid: The ceramic pot insert and glass lid are dishwasher-safe. Alternatively, wash them by hand with warm, soapy water using a non-abrasive sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  3. Heating Base: Wipe the exterior of the heating base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may scratch the surface. Never immerse the heating base in water or any other liquid.
  4. Storage: Ensure all parts are completely dry before storing. Store the slow cooker with the lid inverted on the ceramic pot to prevent odors and allow air circulation.
