Setup Instructions
Proper setup is crucial for safe and efficient operation. Follow these steps carefully:
- Prepare the Work Area: Ensure the painting area is well-ventilated. Cover all surfaces not intended for painting with plastic sheeting or drop cloths to protect them from overspray. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including protective clothing, gloves, and eye protection.
- Assemble the Sprayer:
- Connect the high-pressure hose to the sprayer unit's paint hose outlet and to the spray gun. Ensure all connections are tight using the provided wrenches.
- Attach the desired spray tip (e.g., 515 or 517) to the spray gun, ensuring it is securely seated.
- Insert the paint inlet hose into your paint container (1 or 5-gallon pail). The inlet hose has a mesh filter at the end to prevent debris from entering the system.
- Prime the System:
- Turn the pressure control knob to the lowest setting (0 PSI).
- Set the spray/prime switch to the "Prime" position.
- Place the return hose (small hose) into a waste bucket or back into the paint container if priming with paint.
- Turn on the power switch. The pump will begin to draw paint. Wait until a steady stream of paint flows from the return hose, indicating the system is primed and air has been purged.
- Turn off the power switch.
- Release Pressure: Before adjusting settings or disconnecting components, always release system pressure. Turn the pressure control knob to 0 PSI and set the spray/prime switch to "Prime". Point the spray gun into a waste bucket and pull the trigger to release any residual pressure.

Operating Instructions
Once the system is primed, you are ready to begin spraying. Always test the spray pattern on a piece of scrap material before applying to your project surface.
- Adjust Pressure: Turn the pressure control knob to the desired PSI setting. Higher pressure is generally used for thicker paints and faster application, while lower pressure is suitable for thinner coatings and more detailed work. The sprayer supports up to 3300 PSI.
- Set to Spray: Move the spray/prime switch to the "Spray" position.
- Begin Spraying: Hold the spray gun approximately 10-12 inches from the surface, keeping it perpendicular to avoid uneven coverage. Pull the trigger fully and move the gun in smooth, even strokes. Release the trigger at the end of each stroke.
- Maintain Consistent Movement: Overlapping each pass by about 50% will ensure uniform coverage. Avoid stopping the gun's movement while the trigger is pulled to prevent paint buildup.
- Utilize Extension Pole: For high ceilings or hard-to-reach areas, attach the included 12-inch tip extension to the spray gun. The 45-foot hose length also provides ample reach for large projects.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Thorough cleaning after each use is essential to prolong the life of your airless paint sprayer and ensure optimal performance for future projects.
- Depressurize the System: Always turn off the power, turn the pressure control knob to 0 PSI, and set the spray/prime switch to "Prime". Point the spray gun into a waste bucket and pull the trigger to release all pressure.
- Flush with Water/Cleaning Solution:
- Remove the paint inlet hose from the paint container and place it into a bucket of clean water (for water-based paints) or appropriate cleaning solution (for oil-based paints).
- Place the return hose into a waste bucket.
- Turn on the power and set the spray/prime switch to "Prime". Allow the water/solution to circulate through the system until it runs clear from the return hose.
- Switch to "Spray" mode and spray the water/solution through the gun into a waste bucket until it runs clear.
- Clean Components:
- Remove the spray tip and tip guard from the gun. Use the cleaning kit brush and tool to thoroughly clean the tip, tip guard, and the gun's fluid passages.
- Clean the mesh filter on the paint inlet hose.
- Wipe down the exterior of the sprayer unit and hoses with a damp cloth.
- Store Properly: Once clean and dry, store the sprayer in a cool, dry place. For long-term storage, consider using a pump protector fluid to prevent internal corrosion.
