1. Important Safety Instructions

Read all safety warnings and instructions before operating this tool. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.

• High Temperature Hazard: The blade reaches temperatures up to 500℃ (932℉). Avoid direct contact with the blade. Allow the tool to cool completely before changing blades or storing.
• Ventilation: Operate the hot knife in a well-ventilated area. Cutting certain materials like plastics or foams may produce fumes that can be harmful if inhaled.
• Fire Hazard: Keep flammable materials away from the hot blade. Do not use near combustible liquids, gases, or dust.
• Blade Handling: Always use caution when handling blades. They are sharp even when cold. Ensure blades are securely installed before use.
• Battery Safety: Use only specified batteries and chargers. Do not expose batteries to high temperatures or direct sunlight. Do not short-circuit battery terminals.
• Personal Protective Equipment: Wear appropriate safety glasses and gloves during operation.
• Children and Pets: Keep the tool out of reach of children and pets.

3. Setup

3.1 Blade Installation

1. Loosen Screws: Using the provided wrench, unscrew the four screws on the blade holder.
2. Insert Blade: Carefully insert the desired blade into the blade holder. Ensure it is seated correctly.
3. Tighten Screws: Securely tighten the four screws to hold the blade in place. Do not overtighten.

3.2 Battery Installation and Charging

• Install Battery: Slide a charged 3.0Ah Li-ion battery pack into the base of the hot knife until it clicks into place.
• Check Battery Level: Press the button on the battery pack to check the charge level indicators.
• Charging: Use the provided charger to fully charge batteries. A full charge typically takes 3-4 hours.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On and Temperature Adjustment

1. Power On: Press and hold the ON/OFF switch to activate the tool. The digital display will show the current temperature.
2. Adjust Temperature: Use the temperature control knob to set the desired temperature. The maximum temperature is 500℃ (932℉). Adjust in 50℃ increments.
3. Heating Time: The blade heats up quickly, typically reaching 500℃ in 6-8 seconds.

4.2 Blade Selection and Application

Select the appropriate blade for your material to achieve optimal cutting results.

• 15 cm Straight Blade: Ideal for cutting various foams, including polystyrene, styrofoam, sponge, and EPP.
• Arc Blade (R-Type Knife): Suitable for cutting thick fabrics such as nylon, polyester, and canvas. Also effective for plastic sheets.
• Rope Blade: Designed for cutting ropes, belts, cords, and webbing.
• Sharp Blade: Used for holing foam, cutting acrylic, and other dense materials.

Note: For short blades, it is recommended not to exceed 450℃ to prevent damage or excessive melting.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning Blades: Always ensure the tool is off and cooled before cleaning. Use the provided brush to remove any residue from the blades. For stubborn residue, a damp cloth can be used, but ensure the blade is completely dry before next use.
• Air Cooling Vents: Regularly check and clear the air cooling vents to ensure proper airflow and prevent overheating of internal components.
• Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Do not store fully discharged batteries for extended periods. Charge them periodically if not in use.
• Storage: Store the hot knife and its accessories in the provided tool box to protect them from dust and damage.
