4. Setup Instructions

1. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. The detector does not support 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
2. Open the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app.
3. Tap the "+" icon in the top right corner to add a device.
4. Select "Security & Video Surveillance" > "PIR Detector (Wi-Fi)" or search for "Motion Sensor".
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to put the device into pairing mode (usually involves pressing and holding a button on the detector until an indicator light flashes).
6. Confirm the indicator light is flashing rapidly in the app and enter your Wi-Fi password.
7. Wait for the device to connect. Once connected, you can rename the device and assign it to a room.

1. Choose a suitable location where motion detection is desired, such as near an entrance, hallway, or window.
2. Ensure the detector has a clear line of sight within its 128-degree detection angle and up to 8 meters range.
3. Use the provided adhesive tape or screws to securely mount the detector to a wall. Position it at an appropriate height (typically 2-2.5 meters from the floor) to optimize detection coverage.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Battery Replacement

The detector uses 2 AAA alkaline batteries with an average life of 360 days. When the battery level is low, you will receive a notification via the app. Replace batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation.
