1.1 What's in the Box
Your VTech KidiGo Walkie Talkies DX package includes:

1.2 Battery Installation
Each walkie talkie requires 3 AAA batteries, for a total of 6 AAA batteries for the pair. Batteries are included for demo purposes only; new batteries are recommended for regular use.
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of each walkie talkie.
- Using a screwdriver, open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert 3 new AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.
1.3 Power On/Off
To power on or off, locate the power button, typically on the top or side of the unit, and press and hold it until the screen illuminates or turns off.
1.4 Channel Selection
The VTech KidiGo Walkie Talkies DX operate on a secure, digital connection that only connects to the other bundled walkie talkie. There is no manual channel selection required for basic operation as they are pre-paired.
2. Operating Instructions
2.1 Basic Communication
To communicate with the other walkie talkie:
- Ensure both walkie talkies are powered on and within range (up to 600 feet apart).
- Press and hold the Talk button (usually a large button on the side or front).
- Speak clearly into the microphone.
- Release the Talk button when finished speaking to allow the other person to respond.

2.2 Sending Pre-set Messages and Greeting Cards
The walkie talkies allow you to send pre-set text messages, greeting cards, or wishes to the other unit. Refer to the Quick Start Guide for specific button presses to access and send these messages.

2.3 Playing Games
Explore four built-in games where you can collect insects, grow plants, and more. These games can be played solo or with a friend. Navigate through the menu using the directional buttons and select the Games option.
2.4 Using the Flashlight
The walkie talkies feature a super-bright flashlight, useful for playing day or night. Locate the dedicated flashlight button (often indicated by a lightbulb icon) and press it to turn the flashlight on or off.

2.5 Language Settings
The device supports multiple languages including English, French, German, Spanish, Dutch, and Italian. Consult the Quick Start Guide or the device's menu settings to change the language preference.

3. Maintenance
3.1 Battery Replacement
When the battery indicator on the screen shows low power, replace all 3 AAA batteries in the affected unit. Always use new batteries for optimal performance.
3.2 General Care
- Keep the walkie talkies dry. This product is not water resistant.
- Clean the devices with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Avoid exposing the walkie talkies to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for extended periods.

4. Troubleshooting
