Setup

1. Connecting the Base Unit

  1. Plug the small end of the power adapter into the power jack on the back of the base unit.
  2. Plug the large end of the power adapter into a wall outlet not controlled by a wall switch.
  3. Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the telephone jack on the back of the base unit.
  4. Plug the other end of the telephone line cord into a telephone wall jack.

2. Installing and Charging Batteries

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the handset.
  2. Insert the supplied NiMH AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+ and -).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover.
  4. Place the handset in the base unit or charger to charge. The handset will beep, indicating it is charging.
  5. Allow the handset to charge for at least 16 hours before initial use. For optimal battery performance, keep the handset in the charger when not in use.

Operating Instructions

Making and Receiving Calls

  • To Make a Call: Press TALK/FLASH or SPEAKER, then dial the phone number.
  • To Answer a Call: Press TALK/FLASH or SPEAKER when the phone rings.
  • To End a Call: Press OFF/CLEAR or place the handset back in the base/charger.

Digital Answering Machine

The integrated digital answering machine can record up to 30 minutes of messages. It automatically answers calls when you are unavailable.

  • Playing Messages: Press PLAY/STOP on the base unit.
  • Deleting Messages: Press DELETE during message playback.

Call Blocker
