Step-by-Step Installation:

  1. Wash Your Hands: Ensure your hands are thoroughly clean to prevent transferring dirt or oils to the screen protector or device.
  2. Turn Off Your Device: Power off your Eyoyo PDT6000 Barcode Scanner before beginning the installation process.
  3. Prepare Solution: In a clean bowl, prepare a mixture of water and a small amount of dishwashing detergent. This solution will be used for the wet application.
  4. Wipe Device: Use the provided soft dry micro fiber cloth to thoroughly wipe down the screen of your device, ensuring it is free of dust and smudges.
  5. Wet Your Fingertips: Lightly wet your fingertips with the prepared water and detergent solution. This prevents fingerprints on the adhesive side of the protector.
  6. Peel the IPG from Backing: Carefully peel the IPG screen protector from its backing film. Handle it by the edges.
  7. Wet Adhesive Side: Generously wet the adhesive side of the IPG screen protector with the water and detergent solution using your wet fingertips.
  8. Align and Apply: Carefully align the IPG screen protector to your device's screen. Once aligned, gently place it down.
  9. Squeegee Out Bubbles: Use the provided IPG installation card (or a similar flat, firm object) to squeegee out any bubbles and excess water. Start from the center of the screen and push outwards towards the edges, away from any open ports.
  10. Secure Corners and Dry: Use your palm to gently press down on the corners and edges of the screen protector for 1-2 minutes to help it adhere. It is normal for the screen to appear foggy after installation; do not panic. Allow the device to dry completely for 12 hours for the best adhesion and clarity.

Maintenance

To maintain the clarity and effectiveness of your IPG Screen Protector, simply wipe the screen with a soft, dry micro fiber cloth as needed. The material is designed to repel dust and reduce signs of daily wear. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials for cleaning.

The screen protector's self-healing properties allow minor scratches to disappear over time, contributing to its long-lasting clarity.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues:

  • Foggy Appearance After Installation: It is normal for the screen protector to appear foggy or hazy immediately after installation due to the wet application process. This fogging will dissipate as the protector dries. Allow a full 12 hours for complete drying and optimal clarity.
  • Bubbles Under the Protector: Small bubbles are common immediately after application. Ensure you have thoroughly squeegeed out all excess water and air bubbles from the center outwards during installation. Most small bubbles will disappear as the protector dries and adheres fully over the 12-hour drying period. If large bubbles persist, gently lift the nearest edge and re-squeegee.
  • Edges Not Sticking: Ensure sufficient solution was applied to the edges during installation. After squeegeeing, use your palm to gently press and hold the edges for 1-2 minutes to encourage adhesion. Allow adequate drying time.
