4.1 Display Components

5. Installation
- Mounting: Attach the display bracket to your e-bike's handlebars (suitable for 22.5mm handlebars). Secure it firmly using the provided screw.
- Connection: Locate the 5-pin UART No. 2 protocol connector on your e-bike's controller. Align the pins and firmly connect the display's waterproof connector. Ensure a secure fit to prevent water ingress.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off
- To turn on the display, press and hold the 'Power' button for approximately 2 seconds.
- To turn off the display, press and hold the 'Power' button for approximately 2 seconds.
6.2 Adjusting Assist Level
- Press the '+' button to increase the pedal assist level.
- Press the '-' button to decrease the pedal assist level.
- The current assist level will be displayed on the screen.
6.3 Displayed Information
The S866 display provides the following information:
- Speed: Current riding speed (km/h or mph).

To access advanced settings (P-settings), typically press and hold the '+' and '-' buttons simultaneously for a few seconds while the display is on. Navigation within the menu is usually done with '+' and '-' buttons, and selection/confirmation with the 'Power' button. Common settings include:
- P01: Backlight brightness (1-3 levels).
- P02: Mileage unit (0: km, 1: mile).
- P03: Voltage level (24V, 36V, 48V). Important: Set this correctly to match your e-bike's battery voltage.
- P04: Sleep mode time (0: never, 1-60 minutes).
- P05: Assist gear (0: 3 gears, 1: 5 gears).
- P06: Wheel diameter (inches).
- P07: Speed magnet number.
- P08: Speed limit.
- P09: Zero start/Non-zero start (0: zero start, 1: non-zero start).
- P10: Drive mode (0: pedal assist only, 1: electric only, 2: both).
