Maintenance
1. Cleaning
Regular cleaning of your refrigerator is essential for hygiene and optimal performance. Unplug the unit before cleaning. Use a soft cloth with a mild detergent and warm water to clean the interior and exterior surfaces. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals. Ensure all parts are dry before plugging the unit back in.
2. Defrosting
This refrigerator features a manual defrost system. Frost buildup can reduce cooling efficiency. When frost on the evaporator reaches about 1/4 inch (6 mm) thick, defrost the unit. Unplug the refrigerator, remove all food, and leave the door open to allow the frost to melt naturally. Place a towel at the bottom to absorb water. Do not use sharp objects to remove ice.
Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your Midea refrigerator, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips. For more detailed guidance, consult the full user manual or contact customer support.
