Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for proper installation:
Tools Required:
- Wire Strippers
- Screwdriver (Phillips and Flathead)
- Hole Saw or Template (2.5-inch diameter)
- Measuring Tape
Installation Steps:
- Turn Off Power: Locate the circuit breaker controlling the area where the downlight will be installed and turn off the power. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
- Prepare Ceiling Opening: Using a 2.5-inch hole saw or template, cut a circular opening in the ceiling at the desired location. Ensure there are no obstructions (e.g., joists, pipes) behind the cutting area.
- Access Junction Box: Open the cover of the remote junction box.
- Wire Connections: Connect the household electrical wires to the junction box wires. Use appropriate wire connectors (not included) to secure the connections:
- Connect the black (Live) wire from the supply to the black wire of the junction box.
- Connect the white (Neutral) wire from the supply to the white wire of the junction box.
- Connect the green or bare copper (Ground) wire from the supply to the green wire of the junction box.

- Secure Junction Box: Close the junction box cover and secure it. Place the junction box into the ceiling cavity, ensuring it is not pinched or stressed.
- Connect Fixture to Junction Box: Connect the male connector from the downlight fixture to the female connector on the junction box's installation cord. Ensure a secure connection.
- Insert Downlight Fixture: Gently push the spring-loaded clips on the sides of the downlight fixture upwards and insert the fixture into the ceiling opening. Release the clips to secure the fixture flush against the ceiling. The foam gasket will help create a tight seal.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your downlight, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on. | No power to the fixture. Loose wiring connection. Incorrect CCT switch setting. | Check circuit breaker and wall switch. Verify all wire connections in the junction box are secure (ensure power is off first). Confirm CCT switch on junction box is set to a valid position. |
| Light flickers or dims inconsistently. | Incompatible dimmer switch. Loose wiring connection. | Ensure you are using an LED-compatible dimmer switch. Check all wiring connections (with power off). |
| Incorrect color temperature. | CCT switch set incorrectly. | Access the junction box (power off) and adjust the CCT selection switch to the desired setting. |
