Please read all safety instructions carefully before installing and operating your speakers. Retain this manual for future reference.

  • Electrical Safety: Ensure all wiring is performed by a qualified individual if you are unsure. Always disconnect power to the amplifier before making any connections.
  • Mounting Safety: Use appropriate hardware and ensure the mounting surface can support the weight of the speakers. Improper installation can lead to speakers falling, causing injury or damage.
  • Water Exposure: While these speakers are IP44 rated (waterproof against splashing water from any direction), they are not designed for submersion. Avoid direct high-pressure water jets.
  • Temperature: Avoid exposing speakers to extreme temperatures outside their operating range.
  • Volume Levels: Prolonged exposure to high volume levels can cause hearing damage. Adjust volume to a comfortable level.
  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the amplifier connected to these passive speakers to prevent overheating.

4.2 Wiring Connections

These are passive speakers and require an external amplifier (not included) for operation. Connect the speakers to your amplifier using the provided speaker cables.

  1. Prepare Cables: Strip a small amount of insulation from the ends of the speaker cables to expose the bare wire.
  2. Connect to Speakers: Connect the positive (+) terminal (red) on the speaker to the positive (+) terminal on the amplifier. Connect the negative (-) terminal (black) on the speaker to the negative (-) terminal on the amplifier. Ensure a secure connection.
  3. Connect to Amplifier: Repeat the process for the second speaker, ensuring correct polarity.

Important: Incorrect polarity can result in poor sound quality. Always match positive to positive and negative to negative.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your outdoor speakers.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the speaker enclosures with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Inspect Connections: Periodically check all wiring connections for corrosion or looseness, especially in humid or coastal environments. Apply dielectric grease to terminals if necessary to prevent corrosion.
  • Bracket Inspection: Ensure mounting brackets remain secure and free from rust or damage. Tighten screws if any looseness is detected.
  • Winter Storage (Optional): In regions with severe winter weather, consider temporarily removing speakers and storing them indoors to protect them from extreme cold and heavy snow/ice accumulation, although they are designed for outdoor use.
