3. Setup

3.1 Installation

  1. Ensure the power to the light bulb socket is turned off before installation.
  2. Screw the CAMCAMP SC30A camera directly into a standard E27/E26 light bulb holder (110V~240V). No drilling, wiring, or additional power cables are required.
  3. Once securely installed, turn on the power to the light bulb socket. The camera will power on and initiate its startup sequence.

3.2 Network Connection

  1. Download the official CAMCAMP application from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
  2. Register for a new account or log in if you already have one.
  3. Add the camera by following the in-app instructions. This typically involves selecting 'Add Device' and scanning the QR code located on the camera or in the manual.
  4. Connect the camera to a 2.4G WiFi router. Note: 5G Wi-Fi networks are not supported. For initial pairing, ensure your smartphone and the camera are close to your WiFi router.
  5. Once connected, you can view and control the camera remotely from your smartphone.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Live View and Remote Control

  • Open the CAMCAMP app on your smartphone.
  • Select your camera from the device list to access the live view.
  • Use the on-screen controls to pan (350°) and tilt (90°) the camera lens to adjust the viewing angle.

4.2 Motion Detection and Alerts

  • The camera uses an AI algorithm to detect human motion.
  • When motion is detected, the camera will automatically track the movement and send real-time alarm notifications to your smartphone app.
  • You can customize detection zones and sensitivity settings within the app.

4.3 Two-Way Audio

  • Access the live view in the app.
  • Tap the microphone icon to speak through the camera's speaker.
  • Tap the speaker icon to listen to audio from the camera's surroundings.

4.4 Video Recording and Storage

  • The camera supports continuous 24-hour video recording to a Micro SD card (8GB to 128GB, not included).
  • Insert the Micro SD card into the designated slot on the camera.
  • Recorded footage can be reviewed through the CAMCAMP app.
  • Optional cloud storage services may also be available through the app.

4.5 Multi-User Access

  • The CAMCAMP app allows you to create multiple family accounts.
  • Share camera access with family and friends to enable joint monitoring of your home.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Gently wipe the camera lens and body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Firmware Updates: Regularly check the CAMCAMP app for available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security. Follow the in-app instructions for updating.
  • Power Cycle: If the camera experiences minor issues, try turning off the power to the light socket for a few seconds, then turning it back on to restart the camera.
  • SD Card Management: If using an SD card, periodically check its status in the app. Consider formatting the card every few months to maintain performance.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your CAMCAMP SC30A camera, refer to the following common solutions:
