5. Installation

The HOGART Electric Faucet is designed for quick and easy installation. It can be connected directly to your water supply system.

5.1 Installation Requirements

  • The faucet features an extended thread for connection to countertops up to 30 mm thick.
  • An opening of at least 36 mm is required for the electrical cable to pass under the countertop.
  • Ensure the electrical and water connections are secure and leak-free.

5.2 Installation Steps (General Guide)

  1. Turn off the main water supply and electrical power to the installation area.
  2. Mount the faucet onto the countertop, ensuring the rubber gasket is correctly positioned to prevent leaks.
  3. Secure the faucet from underneath the countertop using the provided mounting nut.
  4. Connect the flexible water supply hose to your cold water line.
  5. Route the electrical cable through the designated opening and connect it to a properly grounded 16A electrical outlet.
  6. Once all connections are secure, slowly turn on the main water supply and check for leaks.
  7. Finally, restore electrical power.

6. Operating Instructions

The HOGART Electric Faucet is designed for simple operation to provide hot water on demand.

6.1 Water Flow and Temperature Control

  • The faucet heats water instantly, typically within 5 seconds of activation.
  • The water temperature ranges between 25 and 50 degrees Celsius, depending on the water flow pressure.
  • A stronger water flow will result in a lower temperature, while a lower flow will yield higher temperatures.
  • The integrated LED display shows the current water temperature.

6.2 Important Considerations

  • If you require a large quantity of hot water continuously, a traditional water heater is recommended. This instant faucet is ideal for smaller, on-demand hot water needs.
  • The flexible spout allows for easy direction of water flow and can rotate 360 degrees for convenience.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your HOGART Electric Faucet.

  • Cleaning: Clean the exterior of the faucet with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they can damage the stainless steel finish.
  • Aerator: Periodically unscrew and clean the aerator at the end of the spout to remove any mineral deposits or debris that may affect water flow.
  • Leak Checks: Regularly inspect all connections for any signs of leaks. Tighten connections if necessary.
  • Winterization: In areas prone to freezing temperatures, ensure the faucet and water lines are protected from freezing to prevent damage.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your HOGART Electric Faucet, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Hot Water:
    • Check if the faucet is properly plugged into a functioning 16A electrical outlet.
    • Ensure the water flow is not too high, as excessive flow can prevent adequate heating.
    • Verify that the circuit breaker has not tripped.
  • Water Leaks:
    • Turn off the water supply and check all connections for tightness. Ensure gaskets are correctly seated.
    • If leaks persist, contact customer support.
  • Low Water Pressure:
    • Check the main water supply pressure.
    • Clean the aerator for any blockages.
  • LED Display Not Working:
    • Ensure the faucet is receiving power.
    • If the display remains off, contact customer support.

For problems not listed here, or if troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, please contact HOGART customer support.
