What's in the Box
- DreamSky Weather Station Main Unit
- Wireless Outdoor Sensor (1 unit)
- Power Adapter
- User Manual
- Mounting Hardware (Ruler, Nails)
Setup
1. Initial Power-up and Battery Installation
The weather station can be powered by the included AC adapter for continuous display brightness or by batteries for backup power. The outdoor sensor requires batteries.

- Main Unit: Insert 3 AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment on the back of the main unit. For continuous display, connect the provided power adapter to the DC IN 5V port and plug it into a wall outlet.
- Outdoor Sensor: Open the battery compartment on the back of the wireless outdoor sensor. Insert 2 AA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.
2. Sensor Placement
Place the outdoor sensor in a shaded, dry location away from direct sunlight and precipitation to ensure accurate temperature and humidity readings. The sensor has a signal range of up to 330ft (100m) in open air.

- Mounting: The main unit can be placed on a tabletop using its foldout stand or mounted on a wall using the two hanging holes. A mounting holes measure is included for easy installation.
- Outdoor Sensor: The outdoor sensor can be hung using its integrated hanging hole.

3. WWVB Signal Acquisition
Upon initial power-up or after battery installation, the weather station will automatically begin searching for the WWVB atomic signal to synchronize time and date. During this search, the screen may dim to improve reception. The screen will light up automatically once the signal is acquired.

To manually quit the WWVB search, press and hold the "WWVB Memory" button on the back of the unit.
Operating Instructions
1. Display Overview
The large, colorful display provides clear readings for outdoor temperature and humidity, indoor temperature and humidity, weather forecast, atomic time, date, and moon phase.

2. Setting Time and Date
To manually set the time and date, follow these steps:
- Hold the "SET" button for 2 seconds to enter setting mode.
- Use the "+/-" buttons to adjust the value, and press "SET" to confirm and move to the next setting.
- Settings sequence: 12/24 Hour Format → Hour → Minute → Year → Month → Day.
- Press "SET" again to exit setting mode.

3. Adjusting Units and Forecast
While in setting mode (after holding "SET" for 2 seconds), you can also adjust the following:
- Temperature Unit: Toggle between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C) using the "+/-" buttons.
- Pressure Unit: Change the pressure unit (e.g., inHg, hPa) using the "+/-" buttons.
- Pressure Value: Manually adjust the pressure value for calibration. The station needs 7-10 days to calibrate automatically, but manual adjustment can speed up the process.
- Weather Forecast Icon: Adjust the weather forecast icon using the "+/-" buttons. The station predicts weather conditions for the next 12-24 hours based on atmospheric pressure changes.
4. Backlight Adjustment
The display features 5 levels of adjustable backlight brightness. Press the "DIMMER" button to cycle through the brightness levels (L05 to L01, where L05 is brightest and L01 is dimmest). This function is active when the unit is powered by the adapter.

5. Temperature Alerts
The weather station supports high/low temperature alerts for both indoor and outdoor readings. Refer to the detailed user manual for specific instructions on setting and managing these alerts.
6. Max/Min Temperature and Humidity Records
The unit automatically records the maximum and minimum temperature and humidity values. Press the "WWVB Memory" button to check these records.
Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in both the main unit and outdoor sensor when the low battery indicator appears on the display.
- Cleaning: Wipe the display and unit with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or chemicals that may damage the surface.
- Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, remove all batteries to prevent leakage.
Troubleshooting
1. Screen is Dim or Not Lit
If your station's screen is dim or not lit, consider the following:
- Battery Powered Alone: The screen will dim when powered by batteries only to save power.
Solution: Connect the station with the adapter. If already connected, try plugging into another outlet. - Searching for WWVB Signal: The screen will dim when searching for the WWVB signal for better reception.
Solution: The station will stay lit after receiving the atomic signal. You can also press and hold the "WWVB Memory" button to quit the searching process. - Low Dimmer Level: The dimmer setting might be too low.
Solution: Adjust the dimmer to a higher level using the "DIMMER" button.
Video: DreamSky Direct explains common reasons why the weather station screen might not stay lit and provides solutions.
2. Sensor Connectivity Issues
If the outdoor temperature/humidity is not displaying or is inaccurate:
- Check Batteries: Ensure the outdoor sensor has fresh batteries and they are installed correctly.
- Relocate Sensor: Move the outdoor sensor closer to the main unit or to a location with fewer obstructions (e.g., thick walls, large metal objects).
- Resync: Remove batteries from both the main unit and the sensor, wait a few minutes, then reinsert batteries into the sensor first, followed by the main unit. This will force a resynchronization.
3. Time Synchronization Issues
If the atomic clock is not synchronizing:
- Optimal Placement: Place the main unit near a window, away from electronic devices that might cause interference.
- Manual Search: Initiate a manual WWVB search by holding the "WWVB Memory" button.
- Time Zone: Ensure the correct time zone is selected on the unit.
