4. Setup Guide

4.1 Charging the Camera

Before initial use, fully charge the camera using the provided charging cord. Connect the charging cord to the camera's charging port and a standard USB power adapter (not included). A full charge can provide 1 to 5 months of operation depending on activity and settings.

4.2 App Installation and Account Creation

  1. Download the official mobile application (e.g., "VicoHome" based on customer reviews) from your smartphone's app store (Google Play Store for Android).
  2. Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to create a new account or log in if you already have one.

4.3 Connecting to Wi-Fi

  1. Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4Ghz. This camera does not support 5Ghz Wi-Fi.
  2. In the app, select "Add Device" or similar option.
  3. Follow the app's instructions to connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network. This typically involves scanning a QR code displayed on your phone with the camera lens.

4.4 Mounting the Camera

The camera can be installed both indoors and outdoors. Choose a location that provides the desired viewing angle (130 degrees) and is within range of your 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi network. Use the provided bracket and screws for wall mounting.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Live View and Recording

Access live video and recorded footage anytime, anywhere through the mobile app. The camera provides 2K high-definition video and images.

5.2 Motion Detection and Alerts

The camera features advanced AI motion detection that can identify persons, vehicles, pets, and packages. When motion is detected, instant notifications are pushed to your phone via the app.

5.4 Two-Way Audio and Siren

5.5 Storage Management

The camera supports local storage via an SD card (up to 128GB, not included) and cloud storage. A free 3-day rolling cloud storage is provided for two years. Advanced features, including upgraded cloud memory and custom alert areas, are available with a 30-day trial and subsequent subscription.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Battery Charging

Monitor the battery level through the mobile app. Recharge the camera when the battery is low using the provided charging cord. The frequency of charging depends on motion detection events and live view usage.
