Setup
1. Battery Installation
Locate the battery compartment, typically on the underside of the lid. Insert 2 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Note: Rechargeable batteries are not recommended for this device.

2. Trash Bag Installation
Lift the inner ring of the trash can. Place a trash bag around the rim of the inner bucket, then lower the inner ring to secure the bag in place. This ensures a clean, 'no bag hanging outside' look.
3. Placement
Place the trash can in your desired location. Its slim design (10.8''L × 5.8''W × 13.3''H) makes it ideal for small spaces such as bathrooms, offices, or bedrooms.

Operating Instructions
Motion Sensor Operation
The EKO Automatic Bathroom Trash Can features a responsive motion sensor. Simply wave your hand or approach the sensor area, and the lid will open in approximately 0.2 seconds. The lid will automatically close softly and silently after 3 seconds of inactivity, operating at a quiet 55 dB.

Ambient Light for Night-time Use
The trash can is equipped with an ambient light feature that illuminates the interior when the lid opens, making it convenient for use in low-light conditions or at night.
