4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the body camera. Connect the camera to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, wall adapter) using a compatible charging cable. The charging indicator light will show the charging status.

4.2 Inserting a Micro SD Card

The camera requires a Micro SD card (up to 128GB, not included) to store recordings. Locate the Micro SD card slot on the device. Gently insert the Micro SD card with the gold contacts facing down until it clicks into place. To remove, push the card in again until it springs out.

4.3 Power On/Off

To power on the device, long press the Power button (⏻) located on the side of the camera. The screen will light up. To power off, long press the Power button again until the screen turns off. A short press of the Power button will shut off or turn on the screen while the device remains powered on.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Controls

Familiarize yourself with the camera's buttons for optimal operation:

• Power Button (⏻):
  • Long press: Turn the device on or off.
  • Short press: Turn the screen on or off (device remains active).
• Return/Menu Button (↩):
  • Short press: Switch to the function interface (e.g., video, photo, audio modes).
  • Long press: Enter or exit the menu settings.
• Up Selection Key (▲):
  • Short press: Narrow the focus in video/photo interface.
  • Long press: Correct the screen orientation when the screen is flipped 180°.
• Down Selection Key (▼):
  • Short press: Zoom in on the focal length in video/photo mode.
  • Long press: Turn on the infrared white light for night vision.
• OK Button (OK):
  • Short press: Start/stop video recording, take a photograph, or start/stop audio recording.
  • Tap: Confirm selections within the menu.

5.2 Video Recording

1. Ensure a Micro SD card is inserted and the camera is powered on.
2. If not already in video mode, short press the Return/Menu button (↩) to navigate to the video recording interface.
3. Short press the OK button (OK) to start recording. A recording indicator (e.g., red dot or timer) will appear on the screen.
4. To stop recording, short press the OK button (OK) again. The recording will be saved to the Micro SD card.

5.3 Photo Capture

1. Ensure a Micro SD card is inserted and the camera is powered on.
2. Short press the Return/Menu button (↩) to navigate to the photo capture interface.
3. Short press the OK button (OK) to take a photo. The screen may flash briefly to indicate a photo has been taken.

5.4 Audio Recording

1. Ensure a Micro SD card is inserted and the camera is powered on.
2. Short press the Return/Menu button (↩) to navigate to the audio recording interface.
3. Short press the OK button (OK) to start audio recording.
4. To stop recording, short press the OK button (OK) again.

5.5 Night Vision

The camera features night vision for recording in low-light conditions. To activate the infrared white light, long press the Down Selection Key (▼) while in video or photo mode.

5.6 Motion Detection

To enable motion detection, navigate to the camera's settings menu (long press Return/Menu button). Locate the 'Motion Detection' option and set it to 'On'. When activated, the camera will automatically begin recording when movement is detected within its field of view, and stop when motion ceases, saving battery and storage.

5.7 Playback and File Transfer

To view recorded files directly on the camera, navigate to the playback mode using the Return/Menu button. Use the Up/Down keys to browse through files and the OK button to play/pause.

To transfer files to a computer, connect the camera to your computer using a USB cable. The camera will appear as a removable disk drive. You can then access and copy your video, photo, and audio files.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera body. For the lens and screen, use a microfiber cleaning cloth specifically designed for optics. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.

6.2 Storage

• Camera not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a power source and try again.

• Poor video/photo quality: Ensure the lens is clean. Check lighting conditions and activate night vision if necessary.
• Screen is blank: Short press the Power button to turn the screen back on. If the device is off, long press the Power button to turn it on.
• Device unresponsive: Try performing a soft reset by long pressing the Power button until it turns off, then power it back on.
• Files not appearing on computer: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected and the camera is in the correct mode for file transfer (usually automatically detected).
