Setup and Initial Adjustment

Your Timex Waterbury Chronograph Watch is designed for ease of use. Follow these steps for initial setup:

  1. Setting the Time:
Pull the crown (middle knob on the side of the watch) out to the furthest position. Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise until the hour and minute hands indicate the correct time. Push the crown back in to its original position to start the watch.
  2. Setting the Date:
Pull the crown out to the first click position. Rotate the crown until the correct date appears in the date window. Push the crown back in to its original position. Avoid setting the date between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as this may interfere with the automatic date change mechanism.
  3. Chronograph Hand Reset:
If the chronograph hands are not aligned to zero, pull the crown out to the furthest position. Press the top pusher (A) to advance the chronograph seconds hand. Press the bottom pusher (B) to advance the chronograph minute/hour hands. Once all hands are at zero, push the crown back in.

The chronograph function allows for precise measurement of elapsed time.

Press the top pusher (A) to start the chronograph. The chronograph seconds hand will begin to move.
  2. Stopping the Chronograph:
Press the top pusher (A) again to stop the chronograph. The elapsed time will be indicated by the chronograph hands.
  3. Resetting the Chronograph:
After stopping the chronograph, press the bottom pusher (B) to reset all chronograph hands to their zero positions.

Water Resistance: Your watch is water resistant to 100 meters. This means it is suitable for recreational swimming, showering, and snorkeling. However, it is not suitable for scuba diving. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before exposing the watch to water. Do not operate the crown or pushers while the watch is wet or submerged.
