1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

Please read all safety warnings and instructions carefully before assembling and operating your Cozze Plancha. Failure to follow these instructions could result in fire, explosion, or serious injury.

• Outdoor Use Only: This appliance is for outdoor use only. Do not operate indoors or in enclosed spaces.
• Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance. Do not obstruct airflow.
• Flammable Materials: Keep the plancha at a safe distance from any flammable materials, structures, or surfaces.
• Gas Connection: Always ensure gas connections are tight and leak-free. Perform a leak test with soapy water before each use. A gas hose and regulator are required for operation and are sold separately.
• Hot Surfaces: The plancha surfaces become extremely hot during operation. Use heat-resistant gloves and avoid direct contact. Allow the appliance to cool completely before cleaning or moving.
• Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the hot appliance.
• Stable Surface: Always place the plancha on a stable, level, non-combustible surface.
• Never Leave Unattended: Do not leave the operating plancha unattended.
• Proper Storage: Store the gas cylinder in a well-ventilated area, away from heat sources. Disconnect the gas cylinder when the plancha is not in use.

Note: A gas hose and regulator are essential for the operation of this plancha and are not included in the package. These must be purchased separately and be compatible with your local gas supply regulations.

4. Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials from the plancha. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if needed.
2. Placement: Position the plancha on a flat, stable, non-combustible outdoor surface, such as a patio table or dedicated outdoor kitchen unit. Ensure there is sufficient clearance from walls and other objects (minimum 1 meter from combustible materials).
3. Gas Cylinder Connection:
   • Ensure the gas cylinder valve is closed.
   • Connect a compatible gas hose and regulator (not included) to the gas inlet on the side of the plancha. Tighten all connections securely.
   • Connect the regulator to your gas cylinder according to the regulator's instructions.
4. Leak Test:
   • Prepare a soapy water solution (50% soap, 50% water).
   • Open the gas cylinder valve slowly.
   • Apply the soapy solution to all gas connections (hose to plancha, regulator to hose, regulator to cylinder).
   • If bubbles appear, there is a leak. Close the gas valve immediately and re-tighten connections. Repeat the test. If leaks persist, do not use the appliance and contact a qualified technician.
5. Initial Burn-Off: Before first use, operate the plancha on high heat for 10-15 minutes to burn off any manufacturing residues. Ensure good ventilation during this process.

5. Operating Instructions

1. Lighting the Burners:
   • Ensure the gas cylinder valve is open.
   • Push in and turn one control knob counter-clockwise to the "HIGH" position. You should hear a clicking sound from the igniter.
   • If the burner does not light within 5 seconds, turn the knob to "OFF", wait 5 minutes for gas to dissipate, and try again.
   • Once the first burner is lit, you can light additional burners by pushing in and turning their respective knobs to the desired setting.
2. Temperature Control: The control knobs allow you to adjust the flame intensity from "LOW" to "HIGH", providing precise temperature control for different types of food.
3. Preheating: For best results, preheat the plancha for 5-10 minutes on medium-high heat before placing food on the cooking surface.
4. Cooking: Lightly oil the cooking surface before placing food. Cook food evenly, turning as needed. The enameled surface is ideal for searing, grilling, and frying.
5. Turning Off:
   • Turn all control knobs to the "OFF" position.
   • Close the valve on the gas cylinder.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your Cozze Plancha and ensure optimal performance. Always allow the plancha to cool completely before cleaning.

• After Each Use:
  • Scrape off any food residue from the cooking surface using a non-abrasive scraper.
  • Empty and clean the integrated grease trap. Wash with warm, soapy water.
  • Wipe the cooking surface with a damp cloth. For stubborn residue, use a mild degreaser.
• Deep Cleaning: Periodically, perform a more thorough cleaning.
  • Remove the cooking surface if possible and clean it thoroughly.
  • Clean the exterior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish.
  • Inspect burners for blockages and clean if necessary (refer to a qualified technician if unsure).
