4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On and Off

  1. To Power On: Insert a charged battery pack into the saw until it clicks. Press and hold the safety lock button, then squeeze the variable speed trigger.
  2. To Power Off: Release the variable speed trigger. The saw will stop.

4.2 Variable Speed Control

The saw features a variable speed trigger. The further the trigger is pressed, the faster the blade will reciprocate. This allows for precise control over cutting speed depending on the material and application.

4.3 Cutting Techniques

Always ensure the workpiece is securely clamped or held before cutting.

  • General Cutting: Place the shoe firmly against the workpiece. Start the saw at a low speed and gradually increase as the blade engages the material. Maintain a steady, controlled pressure.
  • Plunge Cutting (Wood Only): For plunge cuts in wood, tilt the saw forward so the shoe rests on the workpiece and the blade tip is clear. Start the saw, then slowly pivot the saw down until the blade plunges through the material.
  • Metal Cutting: Use a metal-specific blade. Apply cutting fluid to prolong blade life and improve cutting performance. Maintain a moderate speed and steady pressure.
  • Adjustable Pivoting Shoe: The shoe can pivot to maintain contact with the workpiece, providing stability and allowing for different cutting angles.

  • Use a clean, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior of the saw.
  • Clear any sawdust or debris from the ventilation openings and blade clamp area using compressed air or a soft brush.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

5.2 Blade Care

  • Inspect blades before each use for sharpness and damage. Replace dull or damaged blades immediately.
