1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the BSIDE L1 Digital Lux Meter. This device is designed for accurate measurement of ambient light intensity, providing readings in Lux (lx) or Foot-Candles (Fc). 4. Product Overview

1. Lid: Protects the measurement sensor when not in use.
2. Measurement Sensor: Detects ambient light intensity.
3. LCD Display: Shows measurement readings, units, and other indicators.
4. Power On/Off Button (⑂): Press to turn the device on or off.
5. MODE Button: Short press to switch between Lux and Fc units. Long press to activate MAX/MIN/AVG display mode.
6. HOLD Button: Short press to hold the current reading on the display. Long press to switch between automatic and manual ranging.

5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

The BSIDE L1 Lux Meter requires one 9V battery (not included).

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
2. Slide or unclip the cover to open the compartment.
3. Insert a new 9V battery, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: A low battery indicator will appear on the LCD when the battery needs replacement.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

Press the red ⑂ button to turn the lux meter on. Press it again to turn the device off.

6.2 Taking a Measurement

1. Ensure the protective lid is removed from the measurement sensor.
2. Point the measurement sensor towards the light source or area you wish to measure.
3. The current light intensity will be displayed on the LCD.

6.3 Unit Switching (Lux/Fc)

Short press the MODE button to toggle between Lux (lx) and Foot-Candle (Fc) units.

6.4 Data Hold Function

Short press the HOLD button to freeze the current reading on the display. Press it again to release the hold and resume live measurement.

6.5 MAX/MIN/AVG Measurement

Long press the MODE button to enter MAX/MIN/AVG recording mode. The display will cycle through the maximum, minimum, and average light intensity recorded since entering this mode. Long press MODE again to exit.

6.6 Ranging (Auto/Manual)

The device defaults to automatic ranging. Long press the HOLD button to switch between automatic and manual ranging. In manual ranging, you can cycle through the available ranges (200, 2000, 20000, 200000 Lux) by short pressing the HOLD button.

6.7 Automatic Power-Off

To conserve battery life, the device will automatically power off after approximately 15 minutes of inactivity. This feature can typically be disabled by holding a specific button during power-on (refer to advanced features if available in a more detailed manual, not specified in current data).

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning
