4. Setup and Unfolding
Follow these steps to unfold your Gerrit Electric Powered Wheelchair:
- Place the folded wheelchair on a flat, stable surface.
- Gently pull the backrest upwards until the frame locks into place.
- Push down on the seat frame until it is fully extended and flat.

5. Operation
5.1 Power On/Off
- To power on, press the power button on the joystick controller. The indicator lights will illuminate.
- To power off, press and hold the power button until the lights turn off.
5.2 Driving the Wheelchair
- Speed Control: Use the speed adjustment buttons on the joystick to select your desired speed level.
- Direction: Gently push the joystick in the desired direction (forward, backward, left, right). The wheelchair will respond smoothly.
- Stopping: Release the joystick, and the electromagnetic brakes will automatically engage, bringing the wheelchair to a smooth stop. For immediate stopping, pull the joystick back to its neutral position.

6. Battery Charging
- Ensure the wheelchair is powered off before charging.

- The charging indicator light on the charger will show the charging status.
- A full charge typically takes 6-8 hours. Do not overcharge the battery.

7. Folding for Transport
To fold your wheelchair for storage or transport:
- Ensure the wheelchair is powered off.
- Remove any items from the seat or storage pockets.
- Fold up the footrests.

- Lift the seat upwards, allowing the frame to collapse inward.

8. Maintenance
