4. Setup and First Use

Before using your roaster for the first time, follow these steps:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and promotional labels from the roaster.
  2. Clean: Wash the removable roasting pan and roasting rack in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the heating base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the heating base in water.
  3. Assemble: Place the removable roasting pan into the heating base. If using, place the roasting rack inside the roasting pan.
  4. Initial Burn-Off (Optional but Recommended): To eliminate any manufacturing odors, operate the empty roaster for approximately 30 minutes at 350°F (175°C). Ensure the area is well-ventilated during this process. Allow the unit to cool completely before proceeding.
  5. Placement: Place the roaster on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from walls and other appliances to allow for proper ventilation.

5.1 General Operation

  1. Place food into the removable roasting pan. If roasting, use the roasting rack to elevate the food.
  2. Cover the roaster with the lid.
  3. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.
  4. Turn the temperature control knob to the desired setting. The power indicator light will illuminate, indicating the unit is heating.

6. Care and Cleaning
