7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your roaster, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Appliance does not turn on. | Not plugged in; power outlet not working; temperature knob set to "Min". | Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Turn the temperature knob to a desired setting above "Min". |
| Food is not cooking evenly. | Too much food; lid not properly sealed; incorrect temperature setting. | Do not overfill the pan. Ensure the lid is seated correctly. Adjust temperature as needed. Use the roasting rack for better air circulation. |
| Food is drying out. | Lid lifted too frequently; cooking at too high a temperature. | Avoid lifting the lid unnecessarily. Reduce temperature or cooking time. The self-basting lid helps retain moisture. |
| Burning smell during first use. | Residual manufacturing oils. | This is normal for first use. Ensure good ventilation. The smell should dissipate after initial use. |
If the problem persists after trying these solutions, please contact HEYNEMO customer support.
