3. Setup
Before performing a blood glucose test, ensure you have the following items ready:
- sinocare Safe-Accu2 Blood Glucose Meter (not included with this product)
- sinocare Safe-Accu2 Test Strip
- sinocare Blood Collection Lancet
- Alcohol swab (optional, for cleaning the finger)
Important Compatibility Note: These test strips are specifically designed for the sinocare Safe-Accu2 meter. They are not compatible with other sinocare meters such as Safe Accu, Safe AQ Angel, or Safe AQ.

4. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to perform a blood glucose test:
- Prepare the Meter: Insert a new sinocare Safe-Accu2 test strip into the test strip port of your sinocare Safe-Accu2 meter. The meter will automatically turn on.
- Prepare the Lancet Device: Load a new, sterile lancet into your lancing device according to the lancing device's instructions.
- Obtain Blood Sample: Clean the chosen finger with an alcohol swab (if desired) and allow it to air dry. Use the lancing device to prick the side of your fingertip to obtain a small drop of blood. A blood sample of 0.6 microliters is required.
- Apply Blood to Test Strip: Gently touch the tip of the test strip to the blood drop. The strip will automatically draw the blood into the reaction area. Do not smear the blood.
- Read Results: The meter will display your blood glucose result in approximately 5 seconds.
- Dispose Safely: Immediately dispose of the used test strip and lancet in a suitable sharps container or according to local regulations. Lancets are for single use only.
5. Maintenance and Storage
Proper maintenance and storage are crucial for the accuracy and longevity of your test strips.
- Test Strip Storage: Store test strips in their original vial with the cap tightly closed. Keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Do not refrigerate.
- Shelf Life: The test strips have a shelf life of 24 months from the manufacturing date. Once the vial is opened, the test strips are stable for 6 months. Always note the opening date on the vial.
- Disposal: Dispose of used test strips and lancets responsibly. Follow local guidelines for the disposal of medical waste. Never reuse lancets or test strips.
- Meter Care: While this manual focuses on test strips, ensure your sinocare Safe-Accu2 meter is kept clean and dry. Refer to your meter's instruction manual for specific cleaning guidelines.

- No Blood Sample Drawn: Ensure the test strip is correctly inserted into the meter and that the blood drop is large enough and properly touched to the strip's absorbent tip.
