1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the SQQBZZ Portable DVD Player. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your device. Please read it thoroughly before use to ensure proper functionality and to maximize your viewing experience. This player features a 9.5-inch swivel screen, a 5-hour rechargeable battery, and supports various multimedia formats.

2. Safety Information

  • Do not expose the device to rain or moisture to prevent fire or electric shock.
  • Avoid placing the device near heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other heat-producing appliances.
  • Use only attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
  • Unplug the device during lightning storms or when unused for long periods.
  • Do not block any ventilation openings. Ensure proper airflow to prevent overheating.
  • Keep the device away from strong magnetic fields.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the device. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.

4. Product Overview

Familiarize yourself with the various parts and controls of your portable DVD player.

4.1 Front View and Controls

The main unit features playback controls (Play/Pause, Stop, Next, Previous), volume adjustment, and menu navigation buttons. The remote control provides full functionality for convenient operation.

4.2 Side Panel Ports

  • USB Port: For connecting USB flash drives (up to 32GB).
  • SD Card Slot: For inserting SD/MMC cards (up to 32GB).
  • Earphone Port: 3.5mm jack for connecting headphones.
  • AV OUT: 3.5mm jack for connecting to an external display (TV, projector).
  • AV IN: 3.5mm jack for connecting an external video source, such as another DVD player.
  • DC IN: Power input for AC adapter or car adapter.
  • ON/OFF Switch: Power switch for the device.

5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Battery

The portable DVD player is equipped with a rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery, providing up to 5 hours of playback. Before first use, fully charge the battery.

  • Using AC Adapter: Connect the AC adapter to the DC IN port on the player and plug it into a standard wall outlet.
  • Using Car Adapter: Connect the car adapter to the DC IN port on the player and plug it into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket.

The charging indicator light will typically illuminate during charging and turn off or change color when fully charged.

5.2 Inserting a Disc

  1. Gently press the 'OPEN' button or tab to open the disc cover.
  2. Place the DVD or CD onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
  3. Press down gently on the center of the disc until it clicks into place.
  4. Close the disc cover firmly.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On/Off

Slide the ON/OFF switch to the 'ON' position to power on the device. Slide it to 'OFF' to power off.

6.2 Basic Playback

  • After inserting a disc and powering on, the player will typically begin playback automatically.
  • Use the PLAY/PAUSE button to start or pause playback.
  • Use the STOP button to stop playback.
  • Use the NEXT and PREVIOUS buttons to skip tracks or chapters.
  • Adjust volume using the VOL+ and VOL- buttons on the player or remote.

6.3 Screen Adjustment

The 9.5-inch screen can swivel 270 degrees and flip 180 degrees, allowing for multiple viewing angles.

6.4 Multimedia Playback (USB/SD Card)

Insert a USB flash drive or SD card (up to 32GB) into the respective port. The player supports MP3/WMA/WAV audio, JPEG images, and MPEG2/AVI video files. Navigate through files using the remote control or player buttons.

6.5 Break-Point Memory Function

The player features a built-in break-point memory function. If the device is powered off or playback is stopped, it will resume from where you left off when powered on again.

6.6 Connecting to an External Display (AV OUT)

Use the provided AV cable to connect the player to a TV or projector for a larger viewing experience.

  1. Connect one end of the AV cable to the AV OUT port on the portable DVD player.
  2. Connect the other end of the AV cable (red, white, yellow RCA connectors) to the corresponding AV input ports on your TV or projector.
  3. Select the correct AV input source on your TV/projector.

6.7 Connecting Two DVD Players (AV IN)

You can connect another compatible DVD player to this unit using the AV IN port to display its content on the SQQBZZ player's screen.

  1. Connect one end of an AV cable to the AV OUT port of the external DVD player.
  2. Connect the other end of the AV cable to the AV IN port on the SQQBZZ portable DVD player.
  3. Switch the input mode on the SQQBZZ player to AV IN (refer to your remote or menu options).

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning the Device

  • Wipe the screen with a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn marks, use a screen cleaning solution specifically designed for electronics.
  • Clean the exterior of the player with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Keep the disc tray area free of dust and debris.

7.2 Battery Care

  • To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • If storing the device for an extended period, charge the battery to approximately 50% and store in a cool, dry place.

7.3 Storage

When not in use, store the portable DVD player in a dry, cool environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your portable DVD player, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
