  • Battery Replacement (Remotes): If remote controls become unresponsive, replace their internal batteries.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your access control system, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Magnetic lock does not engage or holds weakly.Incorrect wiring; insufficient power; misalignment of lock and armature plate; improper mounting.Verify all wiring connections (refer to Section 4.2). Ensure the power supply is providing stable 12VDC. Check alignment and adjust if necessary. Confirm the magnetic lock and armature plate are securely mounted, potentially requiring appropriate brackets for your door type.
Keypad is unresponsive or not powering on.No power to keypad; faulty wiring; keypad malfunction.Check power connections to the keypad from the power supply. Ensure the power supply unit is receiving input power. Verify wiring integrity.
Cannot add more than 4 users to the keypad.Keypad user capacity limit reached; incorrect programming steps. Some keypads have a limited number of user slots. Consult the specific keypad's detailed manual for its maximum user capacity and advanced programming options. Ensure you are following the correct sequence for adding users (Section 5.1).
Remote control does not unlock the door.Remote battery low/dead; remote not paired; remote receiver issue.Replace the battery in the remote transmitter. Re-pair the remote with the receiver (refer to Section 5.2). Check wiring to the remote receiver.
Exit button does not release the lock.Incorrect wiring; faulty button.Verify wiring connections for the exit button to the power supply control unit. Test the button for continuity if possible.
