2. Setup
Unpacking and Initial Preparation:
Carefully remove all packaging materials and ensure all components are present. Place the machine on a stable, level surface.

Water Tank Setup:
The water tank is located at the back of the machine. Remove it, fill with fresh water, and insert the Mavea water filter as per the filter instructions. Reinsert the tank securely.

Bean Hopper:
Open the bean hopper lid on top of the machine and fill with fresh, roasted coffee beans. Avoid using coated, caramelized, or oily coffee beans.

Milk Container:
Attach the integrated milk container to the machine if you plan to make milk-based beverages.

Cleaning and Descaling:
The machine features a combined cleaning and descaling program (Calc'n Clean) to minimize maintenance time. Follow the step-by-step guide on the display for easy cleaning and descaling.
The removable brewing unit should be cleaned regularly. The drip tray fills up quickly and should be rinsed daily, especially if using milk products.

Quick Tips:
- Select the "Settings" button and the Home Connect option to pair your espresso machine to your smartphone.
- Your Bosch espresso machine will alert you when action is needed, such as cleaning, descaling, or changing the water filter.
- Only use pure, roasted beans suitable for your espresso machine. DO NOT use coated, caramelized, or oily coffee beans.
