4.2. Power Connection

Connect the car power adapter to your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket and plug the other end into the dash cam's power input port. The device will typically power on automatically when the vehicle starts.

4.3. Inserting the Memory Card

Insert a high-speed (Class 10 or higher) Micro SD card (up to 64GB, not included) into the designated slot on the dash cam. Ensure the card is inserted correctly until it clicks into place. Format the card through the dash cam's settings menu before first use for optimal performance.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Basic Operation

  • Power On/Off: The dash cam powers on automatically when connected to power and the vehicle starts. To manually power on/off, press and hold the power button.
  • Recording: Once powered on, the dash cam will automatically begin loop recording. A recording indicator will typically be visible on the screen.
  • Playback: Use the device's buttons to navigate the menu and select recorded files for playback on the 2-inch LCD screen.

5.2. Wi-Fi Connection and App Usage

The dash cam features built-in Wi-Fi for easy access to recordings via your smartphone.

  1. Download the App: Search for and download the "Viidure" app from your smartphone's app store (Google Play Store for Android or Apple App Store for iOS).
  2. Activate Dash Cam Wi-Fi: On the dash cam, navigate to the Wi-Fi settings and enable the Wi-Fi hotspot. The screen will display the Wi-Fi SSID (network name) and password.

  4. Connect Your Phone: On your smartphone, go to Wi-Fi settings, find the dash cam's SSID (e.g., "WIFI_Y17_06cafd"), and enter the password (e.g., "12345678") to connect.
  5. Use the App: Open the Viidure app. You can now view live footage, browse recorded videos, download files to your phone, and adjust dash cam settings remotely.

5.3. Motion Detection

When enabled, motion detection allows the dash cam to automatically start recording if it detects movement in its field of view while parked. This feature is useful for monitoring your vehicle when it's unattended.

To activate or deactivate motion detection, navigate to the settings menu on your dash cam or through the Viidure app.

5.4. G-Sensor Technology

The built-in G-sensor (gravity sensor) detects sudden movements or impacts, such as those from a collision. When an impact is detected, the dash cam automatically locks the current video segment, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. This ensures critical accident footage is preserved.

The G-sensor sensitivity can usually be adjusted in the settings menu to prevent false triggers from minor bumps.

5.5. Infrared Night Vision

The interior camera is equipped with infrared LEDs, providing clear video recording inside the cabin even in complete darkness. This feature is crucial for ride-share drivers or for monitoring vehicle occupants at night.

The front and rear cameras also offer enhanced low-light performance to capture details in challenging lighting conditions.

6. Maintenance

  • Clean the Lenses: Regularly clean the camera lenses with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear video quality. Avoid abrasive materials.
  • Format Memory Card: It is recommended to format the Micro SD card once a month to prevent data corruption and ensure smooth recording. Back up any important files before formatting.
  • Check Connections: Periodically check all cable connections to ensure they are secure and free from damage.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website or the Viidure app for any available firmware updates to improve performance and add new features.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the dash cam in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
