5. Setup

1. Mounting: Attach the FS230B to a light stand using its 180-degree tilting stand adapter. Ensure it is securely fastened.
2. Attaching Reflector: Align the Bowens mount of the reflector with the light's mount, insert, and twist clockwise until it locks into place.
3. Power Connection (AC): Connect the power adapter to the light's XLR power input. Secure the cable with the cable lock. Plug the power cable into the adapter and then into a suitable AC power outlet.
4. Power Connection (V-mount Battery - Optional): If using a V-mount battery (sold separately), attach a compatible V-mount battery plate (e.g., NEEWER PS008) to the light stand. Connect the V-mount battery to the plate and then connect the battery power cable to the light's XLR input.

The FS230B supports both AC power via the included adapter and portable V-mount batteries (sold separately) for flexible power solutions.

6. Operation

1. Power On/Off: Flip the ON/OFF switch located on the back of the light to power it on or off.
2. Brightness Adjustment: Use the 'INT/' knob to adjust the brightness from 0% to 100%.
3. Color Temperature Adjustment: Use the 'CCT' knob to adjust the color temperature from 2700K to 6500K.
4. Dimming Curves: Press the 'MODE/MENU' button to access the menu. Navigate to 'DIMMING CURVE' and select one of the four options: Exponential, Logarithmic, S-curve, or Linear.
5. Special Effects: In the menu, select 'FX' to browse and activate the 12 special lighting effects.
