  • Software Control: Use the Keychron Launcher or VIA software for more granular control over lighting effects and customization.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Keyboard

Regular cleaning helps maintain the keyboard's performance and appearance:

  • Dust Removal: Use a can of compressed air to blow away dust and debris from between the keycaps.
  • Surface Cleaning: Wipe the keycaps and keyboard frame with a soft, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaning solution. Avoid excessive moisture.
  • Keycap Removal: For deeper cleaning, use the provided keycap puller to carefully remove keycaps. Clean the switches and keycaps separately. Ensure keycaps are completely dry before reattaching.

Battery Care

The keyboard is equipped with a Lithium Polymer battery. Follow these guidelines for optimal battery life:

  • Avoid exposing the keyboard to extreme temperatures (hot or cold).
  • Charge the keyboard using the provided USB-C cable connected to a standard USB power source.
  • Do not attempt to replace the battery yourself. Contact support if battery issues arise.

Troubleshooting

Connectivity Issues

  • No Connection (2.4 GHz/Bluetooth):
    • Ensure the keyboard is charged.
    • Verify the mode switch (G/Cable/BT) is set correctly.
    • For 2.4 GHz, ensure the receiver is securely plugged in and try a different USB port.
    • For Bluetooth, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the keyboard is in pairing mode. Remove previous pairings and re-pair if necessary.
  • Wired Connection Not Detected:
    • Ensure the USB-C cable is fully inserted into both the keyboard and your device.
    • Try a different USB-C cable or USB port on your computer.

Key Functionality Problems

  • Keys Not Responding:
    • Check for debris under the keycap.
    • If using QMK/VIA, ensure no accidental remapping has occurred. Reset to default layout if unsure.
    • Try a firmware update if available from the Keychron website.
  • Incorrect Key Output:
    • Verify the OS toggle switch is set to the correct operating system (macOS/Windows).
    • Check QMK/VIA settings for any custom key assignments.
